Mark Olson has been with ImOn for 3 years as an Employee Development Coordinator. He helps train every new employee that comes aboard. He also makes sure our current employees continue to train and learn throughout their time at ImOn.

If you couldn't tell by these pictures, Mark is a huge Florida State University fan. You can almost always find him wearing FSU gear in the office! 🏈

Fiber strands are thinner than a strand of human hair. So when there's damage to the network or we need to extend a fiber strand, how do we work with something so tiny? 🤔

Through a technique called 𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴!

Splicing is the act of joining individual fiber strands together. Fusion splicing uses a special machine to align the fibers and fuse the ends together using a tiny electricity arc. ⚡

Even with this machine, our technicians need extreme precision and patience when splicing! 🧐

Ryan has been with ImOn for 6.5 years as a Residential Operations Lead. If your apartment or condo has ImOn Internet, Ryan probably worked with your property manager to set up service in your building. 🛜

Fun Fact: Ryan is one of 3 Axtells that work at ImOn! His brother, Jordan (far left) is on our Customer Care team, and his sister, Rachel (middle) is a sales intern.

Steve Beebe (right) has been a Business Account Executive at ImOn for 5 years, helping our business customers stay connected to 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 customers. 🤝

Steve spends his time outside of work traveling with his son, who's raced ATV National Motocross for over 12 years. These races have taken them all over the country!🏎️🏁

Before we dig to bury fiber cables, we place these flags to mark existing underground utilities. And you should do the same!

If you plan to dig in your yard, call 811 or visit iowaonecall.com to have your utilities marked for free. Otherwise, you risk damaging your (and your neighbors') utilities!
