Sharing the love of Jesus one child at a time.

12/02/2023

Dear Parents.
We are beginning a new Unit tomorrow. We are so excited about this unit as it is all about The Birth of Jesus! We will only be together for three Sundays this month- December 3, 10, & 17. We will cover lessons 2-4. Our Happy Birthday, Jesus party will be on December 17. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.

11/04/2023

Happy November! Welcome to a new section of learning. This month Ms. Sally and I will be sharing how powerful our God is! Tomorrow we will talk about the parting of the Red Sea. That must have been frightening and amazing all at the same time. We look forward to seeing your sweet children tomorrow.

07/29/2023

Good morning!
Tomorrow is our last Sunday together. Ms. Sally and I have loved serving your children and watching them grow in the Lord. I can’t promise we won’t cry.
We will be having juice boxes and cookies.
Our lesson is Acts 13 - The Church Sent Missionaries
Weekly Verse: Psalm 96:3 Declare his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among all peoples.
We look forward to seeing all our students tomorrow!

07/22/2023

So excited for tomorrow. Our lesson is Acts 12:1-19 People Prayed for Peter
All I can say is that when you pray, you should pray expectantly! Tell your children to be ready to answer the door tomorrow.
Verse: James 5:16 (CSB) The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.
Sunday, July 30 will be our last class together. It’s hard to believe we have been together for a year.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday.

07/05/2023

Hey Families,
I can’t wait until Sunday. We will be in a new unit. Our focus will be on the Church. We’ll begin with week 2. It was such fun seeing so many of our sweet children at VBS. Attached is our outline and memory verse. Thank you for always bringing these precious ones to class.

06/16/2023

Good morning Life Group Family,
I just realized that I had not posted this week’s lesson; guess I’ve been all into VBS. Please sign your children up (June 25-29); it’s going to be Stellar!
Back to Sunday. Our lesson is: Paul Wrote To Timothy (Acts 16:1-4; 2Timothy 1:1-5;3:14-17)
Weekly Verse: You know that from infancy you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2Timothy 3:15
This is such a good lesson on how hearing the word at home and reading the Bible daily instills wisdom and boldness in us to tell others.
Thank you for your faithfulness in bringing your children to class.

06/11/2023

We’ve been talking about sharing God’s word. God’s word is like chocolate, if you just walk around with it but you don’t eat it then it isn’t any good to you. The same goes for The Bible, if you leave it in the car or on the bedside table but you don’t read it, it isn’t helpful to you. You have to open it and read it, to know Him.
Here are a few pics of the children playing musical Bible chairs while others said their verses.

Hey 2nd Grade,
We are beginning a new unit this Sunday. I am sending an overview below, as well as this week’s Bible verse. Can’t wait to see everyone on Sunday.

05/27/2023

Good morning parents and students,
Happy Summer! School is out for the students and it has been a busy , fun and exhausting two weeks.
Your sweet children continue to bless me every week with their Bible knowledge and love for the Lord. They are such a blessing.
This week wraps up our unit on Telling AboutThe Savior. Hopefully, your children have learned ways to share Jesus that are not intimidating, but easy and friendly.
Our lesson tomorrow is about Peter Baptized Cornelius. God does not show favoritism. Baptism shows that people have trusted Jesus as Savior and Lord.
The weekly verse is: Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4(CSB)
Again, thank you for sharing your children with Ms. Sally and me.

05/22/2023

Your children bless me in so many ways. On Sunday we talked about scales on Saul’s eyes before he became Paul. Then the children re-enacted the story. We talked about how Jesus can change the life of anyone.

05/11/2023

Your children touch our hearts. Thank you you for sharing them with us.

05/05/2023

Hello, Parents & Grandparents,

We had a full house last week and it was so good to see everyone. Thank you for being faithful and bringing your children every week. Ms. Sally and I sure do love them.

04/15/2023

Tomorrow’s lesson is really good. I’m a visual person so I can relate to Thomas. Here are all his friends saying they saw Jesus alive, but Thomas missed it. We know the story; he gets to see. Today we have the word and faith. “Blessed are those who have not seen Me and believe.” John 20: 29b

Lesson: Thomas Believed (John 20: 19-31)
Verse: For God so loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (CSB)

Please let me know if we can pray for your family in any way. We have group prayer, and the children can write us private requests in the prayer box.

Have a blessed day. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

04/01/2023

We can’t wait to see your children tomorrow. We’ll try to remember to take pictures.

03/04/2023

Oh my goodness! I hope you have been taking part in the Bible Conference this weekend. The preaching keeps getting better and better! You still have time to make tonight’s session at 6:00; the children will have their own Blitz in the Children’s Church.
Tomorrow, we will meet in the classroom at 9:00, and then there will be Children’s Church. No adult Life Groups. Good preaching in the Sanctuary!
Our students are in a new unit- We Need A Savior
March 5 Lesson: God created the world (Genesis 1:1-2:3)
Weekly Verse: You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, because you have created all things - Revelation 4:11(CSB)
Ms. Sally and I can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow.

02/25/2023

Happy Saturday. I hope you all are having a lovely weekend and enjoying this beautiful weather.
Our lesson this week is really good in so many ways. It’s the last lesson in the family unit, but oh how sweet. The focus is on how God wants families to obey Him.
Lesson: Zechariah and Elizabeth Obeyed God (Luke 1: 5-25; 39-45; 57-66

Ms. Sally and I look forward to seeing your precious children tomorrow.
Please let us know if you have special prayer requests.

We’ve been missing a few of you and pray that you are healthy and not sick. We also realize that this is winter break for county schools, so if you are traveling, be safe.
Ms. Sally and I sure do love you.

02/06/2023

Thank you so much for allowing Ms. Sally and me the privilege to teach your children on Sunday mornings. Today we decorated our door. No worries, if your child wasn’t present, we saved them a heart.
Our new unit is all about God’s Plan for Families. We talked about God’s plan for families is to love, respect, and help one another. We had lots of fun finding baby Moses.

Photos from NBC 2nd Grade Life Group's post 01/16/2023

The children had so much fun making baskets of bread and fish to go along with our lesson on Sunday. They were a little challenged when I gave them 2 goldfish crackers and asked if they could divide them in a way to serve our class. No worries, I had a whole bag, but we did learn that only God and Jesus can perform miracles. Enjoy the pics. See if you recognize your child’s artwork. 💕

01/14/2023

Happy Saturday! I’m so sorry to be so late in posting, but it has been a busy week.
It was such a joy seeing all the children last week. We had 13!
Our lesson tomorrow is: Jesus Fed The People (John 6:1-13)
Our verse is: For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me. John 6:38
