Today is a special day as it marks our former President and CEO Bert Boeckmann’s birthday.
Bert helped build us into the company we have become. He is a larger than life presence here in the Valley, and around the world! Today would have been his 94th birthday.

This latest barn find is the 1 and only Mustang "Rumbleseat" with sunroof, "Galpinized" in 1967.
Galpin Ford teamed up with Heinz Prechter in the 1960's to install the very first European sunroofs in America, while they were both still located in the city of San Fernando. Heinz then formed the American Sunroof Company, which became ASC, which went on to become an automotive giant, eventually even building concept cars for OEMs.
These rumbleseat "Parade Cars" were used by Galpin and ASC to promote sunroofs, and have something interesting and fun go by during parades!
The rumbleseat was not meant to be used on freeways or on the track as pictured, but it made for a great photo. Don't try this at home!
After 50 years, this incredible piece of automotive history found its way back to Galpin Ford, where it will be restored to its original glory.
