Are you spending time reading all the latest economic forecasts? My opinion is you shouldn't - let me explain why. Back in January 2020, forecasts proved to be worthless. Those same updated forecasts 90 days later didn’t predict what the market was going to do next. Then, at the beginning of 2021, there was talk of a double-dip recession which never came that year. The forecasts in January 2022 talked about how strong the economy was supposedly and that inflation was transitory. The takeaway is that the economy simply cannot be forecasted. Therefore, the market cannot be timed. So, what's the correct approach for long-term investing? It's simple: buy, for the long term, when you have the money and sell when you need the money. Everything else - the noise and commentary surrounding the market - is just that, noise. Trying to time the market based on forecasts is a losing game. Instead, focus on a long-term strategy and make wise financial decisions based on your individual goals. #investing #longterminvesting #financialstrategy #economy #forecasting #timemarket #financialadvice #money #wealth #finance Disclosure: bit.ly/3t3DZ6Y
