- I swallowed a quarter as a kid and lived to tell you about it!! 😇

I believe we all are blessed with a GIFT and my upbringing made me a grandmaster of managing projects which conditioned me to think 5 steps ahead with everything I do (a gift and curse at the same time). Combine these two and you get the real-life version of Olivia Pope…i.e. April Willis! Ambiance by April was established to fuel my gift and be a blessing to others when celebrating the most important moments of their lives. Curating immersive experiences, transforming spaces, managing and ensuring events are memorable, engaging, and aligned with clients’ vision is my superpower and absolute PASSION!! Yes, I work endless hours on my feet planning, decorating, managing details and I LOVE IT (weird??). I am so grateful for my gifts and I thankful for those who have fueled my gift by trusting me with your special moments in life and for my new followers that I have yet to work with I am excited about the opportunities that are ahead!

Yesterday was an awesome celebration for original “Boss Lady”!! Happy 77th Birthday Mary B. McKinney! Thank you Meyka for entrusting The Venue to design and coordinate a seamless celebration. However, there’s no “I” in team so I would like to shout out Boo and Ken's Curbside Catering, Everything Apples and More, Courtney Godwin & Band, and Photograher Pat Thomas for their support and talents on yesterday. Mother’s should be celebrated and loved every opportunity we have. Meyka job well done!!
