I am excited to announce that I will be starting live virtual drawing classes on Thursday, September 17th for youth and adults... both group and private lessons will be available during evening time slots. Learn my drawing basics for capturing the essence of your portrait subject from photographs. We will focus on proportion, scale, balance, shading techniques, and tools to improve capturing a "likeness" as you explore creating art that is meaningful to you. Contact me to learn more. My work has again been selected by AKC's "Family Dog" magazine to preview in their annual canine art gallery edition that will be published this Fall... I am so honored!

Just back from exhibiting my fine art in Oklahoma-- it was a great trip and wonderful to meet new equine art lovers and hear reactions to my work. I loved working daily on art in front of fellow art-lovers-- it was a great chance to educate many about the artistic process and I made some marvelous new friends during my time there. Thank you AHA (Arabian Horse Association) for having me as an exhibitor!

I've been busy in the studio & wanted to share a recent portrait that was a joy to do...

After about six months of solid work on this beautiful pastel portrait, I am finally saying "goodbye" to it as it leaves my studio for my client in Washington State-- I have been so touched to have this commission and it has kept me going and brought me so much joy! (It's a big one-- framed it stands almost as tall as me!) It's entitled "My Celine."
