Award-winning artist and Rowan College of South Jersey adjunct art professor Lavett Ballard recently curated an exhibition titled “Stories My Grandmother Told Me” at the RCSJ Arts & Innovation Center in Millville. The stunning exhibit included the artwork of local, national, and internationally recognized artists, along with work from Prof. Ballard's personal collection. The intention of “Stories My Grandmother Told Me” was to visually narrate the culture, communities, beauty, and history of people of African descent. The show was inspired by the idea of matriarchal storytelling passing on legacies from one generation to the next and the motherly and sisterly bonds that transcend familial ties.
See "Arsenic and Old Lace," November 16-19 at the Guaracini Performing Arts Center on the Cumberland Campus. 🎭🎭🎭 Get your tickets at rcsj.edu/theatre. #RCSJ #college #theatre
