I can’t even begin to list the ways you all have rallied around us.

As time passes and the shock of it all wears off, we’re left with a deep sorrow that has changed us to the core. Through it all I’m learning that it’s “possible to have a broken heart and raised hands at the same time. To trust in the goodness of God when life seems anything but good”. I stole those words from because that’s exactly how I feel.

I’m eternally grateful for the endless acts of kindness shown to us. The anonymous loaf of freshly baked bread left at our door, flowers and meals, a meal subscription for our toddler, laundry service, precious gifts, cards, check-ins, and powerful prayers. Not only did our closest friends and family embrace the unimaginable but strangers and acquaintances jumped into the pain with us. It would have been easy for any one of them to shy away but they did the opposite and plunged right into the uncomfortable.

John and I can’t wait for opportunities to show up the way you all have shown up for us. Thank you ❤️

After dozens and dozens of trial batches, endless research, and a myriad of phone calls to each other, I get to share with you what we’ve been up to!

My relationship with my Aunt Julie started when I was very young and she would wake me up early in the morning to walk with her and her dog, Cashmere. Our closeness was build on long walks and talks, her French braiding my hair, and later sharing our mutual love of gardening, health, and homemaking.

Today, I get to officially introduce you Julie’s nourishing tallow based skincare line . I believe in her vision for this company, the high quality ingredients in each product, and the MANY health benefits for our skin. Never underestimate the power in making the small things beautiful 🤍

THE HUSTLE. We idolize the hustle and how little sleep or rest we get. We chug coffee and brag about how busy we are. But are we fulfilled? I’ve felt such an intense inner struggle to find balance at home and in the hustle over the past couple years.

Rest hasn’t ever come easy to me but I’m learning that resting and finding contentment without feeling the need to constantly complete tasks or “hustle” is a game changer.

My perfectionism and people pleasing in certain areas has to die for me to be my best self for my family. Learning to say no can be so freeing.

Our bodies really do keep the score! They often start to fail us and we have no choice but to slow down and look inward and to Jesus. What are we striving for? What’s the end goal? Are we completing tasks to earn love or acceptance?

I’m grateful for the slowness my baby has brought our family. We’re setting new rhythms and learning how to “180 out” when society’s standards don’t work for our family.

Be still. Rest. Let Him work.
