EARRINGS AND MORE EARRINGS!

Oh my gosh! I cannot stop making earrings. Since last fall I have been on the hunt for unusual and unique componets to use in my designs. I have been privileged to source artisans who make enamel, clay, metal componets as well lampwork beads from all over the US and far away places such as Australia, Ukraine and Japan. I love working with these little pieces of art. I purchased so many. Addicted, one could say. Pictured here is the fouth batch in the last month! Fall 2021: new pieces

I haven't posted in awhile. However I have been busy. Here are just two of my completed pieces with descriptions.

Here I am at Pembroke Mall in Virginia Beach for the Santa's Extravaganza. The show last until 7 pm tomorrow.

Thank you to all who came to the hoilday show in Farmville last weekend. I had the best time seeing friends, former students and teachers I taught with. I was so happy to have a short visit with all of you.
I have always apprecited those who stop by my booth to either browse or chat and, as well as those who purchase from me. The show was a good one for attendance and sales. I have come to the conclusion that making jewelry not only satisfies my creative urges but also my ego. I really enjoy the wonderful compliments from friends and people I don't know. I will see you and Santa Claus next year. Thank you.

Santa's Old Fashioned Bazzar, Princess Anne Recreation Center, Virginia Beach, Virginia

This necklace is made with tiger iron, Swarovski crystals with copper accents. The copper leaf clasp enables the wearer to double, triple and even wrap a 4th time for several different looks.

First show is here in Virginia Beach, Santa's Old Fashioned Bazzar at the Princess Recreation Center on Nimmo Parkway, NOV 2 and 3. I hope to make new customers and friends at this show. Please stop by my booth.
Second show is in Farmville, Virginia, my home town since leaving Virginia Beach for college at Longwood University, 1973. STEPS Shopping With A Cause Holiday Show will be at the Sports Arena NOV 8 and 9. I would love to see old friends come by and see me and my jewelry.

More on Susan Lenart's Ice Resin's workshop. I took this course with a different instructor several years ago and made many beautiful pieces with ice resin. I wanted to take the workshop with her. Oh my goodness I learned so much and the 3 hours was so much fun. These photos are from the worshop and one of the pieces I previously made with ice resin. The pendant I started in class and is not finished (we had to drill out a bubble and that can be repaired with another pour.) The photo of the two girls was taken on the beach and is authenic. On the back one of the girls wrote in pencil "Looking for hot men" and the date 1937. Some things never change. :-) . As i was working Susan told me I had "mad design skills". I was thrilled coming from her. The glass of wine was free at hotel during happy hour.

I want share and do my workshops at BeadFest in Philadelphia justice with my fantastic instructors. First and foremost is Ice Resin with Susan Lenart (Kazmer). She is world known for her jewelry (that truly is a fine art form). Her pieces have been shown on the runway of New York fashion shows and has won NUMEROUS awards as well as write ups in fashion magazines such as Vogue and in Germany. She is not only super talented but funny and gracious and a great teacher. This is one of her pieces pictured here. If you google her you will finds many books she authored and a whole entire line of ice resin products that bear her name. She worked on the formula for this resin to use in jewelry. Amazing woman!

Exciting for me and my customers. New beads and materials to create more lovely pieces of jewelry.

Hey everyone. I have been in Philadelphia at 2019 Bead*Fest since Tuesday taking workshops in areas I want to learn new skills. I have been wanting to add more handcrafted elements to my jewelry designs. The instructions are nationally regonized jewelry artists and some internationally. Also, this is an opportunity to purchase some stunning beads as well as tools. LOOK OUT! And so far what I purchased are just beautiful. I plan to post photos and more about my week as soon as I can catch my breath or sleep. In the meantime this photo was taken in today's class learning techniques with a rotary shaft machine.

I am in Farmville the next few days for a show at Longwood University! Find me at the Maugans Alumni Building on campus for the LWU Summer Reading and Literacy Institute. I would to see some of you on campus or in and around the area. Check Longwood's website for the conference hours and come by anytime there is not an at large speaker. I have a great selection of beautiful pieces and some bargins to choose from.

I have my mobile studio backed and headed to the Blackstone Antique Mall in Blackstone for the Town's Holiday Celebration tonight and tomorrow! My entire jewelry collection will on display for sale.
