Shout out to Denver Christian + FFM Youth! We pray that you had the chance to immerse yourselves in a different culture, and foster understanding and appreciation for diverse ways of life. Wepray that God radically changed your life!

One of the passions that we have at Students International is to see the body of believers on mission, united together and working for the common good of our neighbor and our city. In many parts of North America and around the world, it is tempting for pastors, ministry leaders, and church members to see other churches as competitors instead of collaborators in the mission and kingdom of God. In Jarabacoa, that temptation is no different. As a nonprofit parachurch organization, SI in Jarabacoa has the unique opportunity to provide spaces for church leaders to come together, worship, and talk about common challenges that we face as the body of Jarabacoa. In previous years, SI has put on an event bringing together ministry leaders and pastors but this past Fall we pushed the local pastor’s association to organize the event and promised to assist them by helping with the logistics of dinner and providing our chapel.. For us, it was a huge success to see local pastors coming together to talk about the challenges facing young people in our city and how the church can meet those needs with the Gospel. Thank you for the many ways that all of you support the ongoing work here in Jarabacoa! Please pray with us as we are dreaming towards more opportunities in 2024 to facilitate connections with local churches!

DISCOVER your calling as you serve those in need. You’ll make a real impact and God will do a real work in your life too.

Our Mission is bringing students and the poor together cross-culturally to encounter God, share the Good News, disciple and serve others in occupational ministries.

We're passionate about seeing students and the poor transformed into the likeness of Christ and discover their true calling.

We love our short-term teams and how they partner with our full-time staff to serve on the front lines of global missions and make a real impact.

Do you ever wonder what you will do with your life? Today's words of encouragement come from the Appropriate Technology site in the small community of Los Higos, Dominican Republic. God has designed your life with a purpose. If you are a follower of Jesus and are unsure if you have anything valuable to give, think again. God equipped you with unique gifts and experiences that nobody else has. When you use those talents and skills for the purpose that God intended them, it brings fulfillment and meaning to your life. At SI, we talk about God's specific purpose for our lives using the term "calling." Discovering God's calling is at the heart of Students International’s ministry. But it is more than simply something we do. Calling is a core identity of who we are. Every student, site leader and kid in the community has their own stories of God uniquely calling them to use their gifts. Today you will hear from Genaro de Jesús Garcia who uses water filtration as a tool to impact the small communities of the Dominican Republic. Like all of us, Jesús Garcia is simply an ordinary person who an extraordinary God has called to make a difference in the lives of others. We pray that Jesús Garcia's work would encourage you to press in deeper to God's unique call on your life and to consider partnering with the Gospel-centered work happening at our Appropriate Technology site in Los Higos. Jesús Garcia found his calling through building. Would you consider partnering with us to see this ministry flourish? You can do so by keeping this site in your prayers and by giving financially. You can donate by going to https://stint.com/donation/?id=f23 Grateful for you, The SI Team

This week's encouraging story comes from Mercedes, a woman that has been a part of the microfinance site for many years.
