Stop Trying to Fix Yourself and Start Enjoying Your Life We can get so caught up trying to fix ourselves that we don't give ourselves space to just be. But we don't need to be perfect to enjoy our lives.
Some great wellness insights from our friend Sara Moran...
“What do I do on the weekends? I like to spend my free time in saunas because it is relaxing, and moreso because the SKIN, also known as the third kidney, is the largest organ in the body, the secondary elimination route, and our outer protective layer. In case you aren't aware, elimination is the most important part of detox, and some of the most important function of the human body. Just like a sponge, the skin transdermally absorbs from all substances that come in contact with it and collects any foreign particles into the lymph system. That is the reason that what we put on our skin matters; whether it be makeup, lotion, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, patches, deodorant, perfumes, temporary and permanent tattoos, body paint, eyelash glue, etc.
The rule of thumb for skin health is: if you aren’t willing to eat it, don’t put it on your skin. Skin reactions happen when the body toxic burden has reached its maximum capacity and is attempting to purge these toxins out. Once other elimination organs (mainly the kidneys) are clogged up, the skin becomes a safer route to remove acidic toxins from the body. Hence, supporting and protecting the skin is essential for health. Medical treatments, creams, and ointments for skin conditions might offer a temporary relief of symptoms, and at the same time they will always increase the toxic body burden (especially if using steroids) which will create major health issues down the road. Any skin condition or symptom reflect a compromise of your inner health, and that your KIDNEYS aren't properly filtering; red patches, spots, pimples, welts, dryness, flakiness, rashes, itching, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, hives, swelling, etc.
Methods that you can use to support and open the skin for toxic elimination:
1. Sweating as much as possible; saunas and steam. This is especially important with Hypothyroidism as the body temperature remains low and sweat is less likely to occur. Digesting cayenne pepper and other hot peppers may elevate temperature and induce natural sweating - use caution.
2. Replacing any product with natural unprocessed unheated organic one’s. raw organic coconut oil, Castor oil, and other plant based ingredients are best. If your products contain any ingredients that you don’t recognize, you might want to avoid them. Pro-tip: you can use quality essential oils for perfume, apple cider vinegar for shampoo, Shea butter for skin care, activated charcoal for toothpaste, and lemon with baking soda for deodorant.
3. Dry brushing the skin before showering (towards the kidneys).
4. Using shower filters, swimming in natural bodies of water such as oceans, rivers, and lakes rather than pools and jacuzzis which contain Chlorine, Chloride, etc.
5. Brushing the hair often.
6. Consistent sun exposure without sunblock use. Short periods and gradual build up will prevent burning.
7. Detoxifying the skin with clay and mud masks such as Bentonite Clay, Activated Charcoal, Algea, etc.
8. Eating healthy (alkaline) and proper hydration promotes skin health.
9. Soothing the skin by applying Aloe vera plant, Honey, Calendula, Chamomile, Comfry, Plantain, and Marshmelow herbs.
9. Keeping the skin open by consuming Burdock, Bayberry, White oak bark‚ Prickly ash bark, and Dandelion herbs.
10. Dry fasting can help relieve symptoms. Please use high caution; proper transition in and out of a fast is crucial. Only practice with experienced guidance.”

Good morning!
Thank you, Pema ❤️
Huge thanks to “Ravenwind Botanica” for finding this article. Very, very interesting read.
In Western Medicine the body is seen as a machine, you try to fix a broken part or take it out. In Chinese Medicine, the body is seen as a garden. If the leaves are wilting or turning brown, you examine the condition of the soil, see if the plant is getting enough water & sun or if the roots are being impinged upon. You don’t just paint the leaves green! ~ From the classic book on Chinese Medicine, "Between Heaven and Earth".
Very interesting read, and well worth the time!
Fascia Acts as a Second Nervous System Research is showing that Fascia acts as its own Nervous System.
Fruits should always be eaten on an empty stomach, or before a meal, because fruit goes through the digestive tract more quickly than other foods.
When we eat fruit on an empty stomach it helps us to detoxify the body and supplies us with needed energy for weight loss and other activities.

Feeling depleted? Nourish your vitality with Ojas.
According to Ayurveda, there is a special substance in the body that governs aging, immunity, radiant skin, vigor, mood, sleep, digestion, spirituality, and physical strength. This substance is called Ojas (OH-jas).
In Sanskrit, ojas has two prominent meanings. In the context of physical health and vitality, it means “vigor, virility, and vitality.” In the context of spiritual and emotional well-being, it is “the physiological expression of consciousnesses.”
Ojas tonic:
Add small amounts of these to one cup of organic full coconut milk as you bring to a boil.
Chopped dates (1 tbsp)
Chopped sprouted almonds (r tbs)
Coconut meat or flakes (1tbs)
Saffron (1/2 tsp)
Ghee (1-2 tsp)
Cardamom (1/8 tsp)
Optional: add Ashwaghanda for Ojas-building reproductive strength and virility. 😊
THIS is motivating! It’s wonderful to see such movement at 100 years old!

This is a picture of Danvantari, a Deity of healing and medicine. The Vedic Yoga tradition teaches that he is the founder of Ayurveda, and all medicine in the universe. His open palm symbolizes healing energy and giving benefits, while his pot carries nectar.
Ayur stands for ‘life’, and Veda means ‘knowledge’, therefore Ayurveda means The Science or Knowledge of Life. It is a very universal and intuitive form of keeping the body healthy via various lifestyle practices. Yoga is part of Ayurveda, and vice versa.
With Ayurveda, one learns about bio-individuality, or dosha, body-mind type which teaches us that each person has individual health needs.
Ayurveda also treats body as a whole system, including our mental and emotional bodies as well, and all should be balanced so we can be happy and healthy.
