IASIC is very proud to be a member of the Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs.
The International Academy on the Science and Impact of Cannabis is proud to announce IASIC has been selected as an organization that advises the United Nations on Drug Policy. IASIC is a new member to VNGOC, Vienna Non-Government Organization Committee on Drugs. The VNGOC provides a vital link between NGOs and United Nations agencies involved in setting drug policy: the UN Commission on Narcotics Drugs (CND), the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
“It is an honor and privilege to be a member of VNGOC. As physicians we consider it a serious duty to educate the world on the science and harms of cannabis," said IASIC Vice President Dr. Roneet Lev. IASIC is proud to provide international expertise on cannabis-related drug policy to the United Nations. As more nations seek to follow the United States' lead on cannabis legalization, we aim to educate on the errors made in drug policy that adversely affect public health.
