DC JazzFest kicked off its 20th anniversary last week at with the JazzDC All-Stars, led by UDC Jazz Studies Director Allyn Johnson. The show also featured special guests Antonio Hart and adjunct professor Christie Dashiell, as well as jazz studies student Elijah Easton, jazz studies alums Reginald Cyntje and Leon Rawlings, and music education alum Antonio Parker. Great show, Firebirds!

A big-thanks to DC Jazz Festival President and CEO Sunny Sumter, Artistic Director Willard Jenkins and the phenomenal team. Catch the festival through Sept. 1, including a few cameos from "Dean of D.C. Jazz" Johnson. [piano emoji]
