"Though based in 1992, this story feels more relevant than ever. The fear-mongering, victim blaming, spineless leadership, and rampant spread of misinformation will be all too familiar to 2022 audiences. . . but the high-spirited campy comedy and vigorous score will have us all screaming for more!” - Clancey Yovanovich, "Bat Boy: The Musical" director
"Bat Boy: The Musical" premieres TONIGHT at Greenberg Theatre! Through 2/25. 🎟️: $10-$15, FREE for American University students with ID: https://bit.ly/3I2h9Eq

It's the end of the semester and that means project presentations in Stagecraft. Here are some of the painted flats the students created and students sewing their tote bags.
Last night was the premiere of The Winter's Tale, a Theatrical Film Experiment. We started rehearsing this show in August of 2021, planning on opening our season with it at the end of September. Covid forced a shift in our production and we pivoted to making a film. Chelsea Thaler '14 and her creative partner Nick Szpara joined us for a weekend of filming in November and have spent the past few months editing.
It was a fantastic premiere. We hope to make it available for streaming and other showings soon.
This month we have a Gallery of Production Photos from shows spanning 18 years. The exhibit is outside of the Katzen Studio Theatre (where Into the Woods will be playing the next two weekends). We're thrilled to be able to share our history with our current students and prospectives.
Tomorrow is Into the Woods opening night! We are so excited for the hard work of this cast and crew to be shared to the world! Comment down below which show you are seeing!
