âWomen of color are part of the fastest-growing voting constituency in the American electorate. In an era when elections are won by tight margins, women of color wield the power to decide races up and down the ballot.â - Newsweek
GMMB is proud to be working with Intersections of Our Lives, a collaborative of three women of color-led Reproductive Justice organizations, to promote the results of their poll of women of color voters. The poll, conducted by Lake Research Partners and , provides a thorough look at the connections across Black, Latina/x, and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) women voters and their motivations and issue priorities in the 2024 election cycle. GMMB Catalyst, GMMBâs multicultural communications practice group, has led the communications rollout for the poll.
The poll found that women of color voters do not see their priority issues addressed by policymakers and political leaders. Reproductive Justice issues â such as securing good-paying jobs, accessing affordable healthcare including abortion and birth control, improving maternal health outcomes, lowering the cost of housing, and addressing rising costs and prices â are top of mind for women of color voters who could decide elections.

GMMBâs Seattle office has an unofficial mascot? In 2022, the Urban Raptor Conservancy partnered with the AGC of Washington to host a peregrine falcon nest on their balcony, creating a protected nesting area for the formerly endangered species just outside of GMMBâs offices.
While GMMBers love poking their heads out the window to check on their neighbors, AGC also hosts their FalconCam livestream â giving everyone the chance to watch the falcons from the moment they lay their eggs through their babiesâ first flight.
Interested in learning more? You can visit AGCâs website (and watch the FalconCam!) here: https://www.agcwa.com/agc-falconcam/

We are helping Marshall Street make best practices standard with the launch of the Research-to-Impact Practice Collections. Available for any school to use, these evidence-based resources offer the tools schools need to meet studentâs needs and improve the learning experiences of Black and Latinx students with disabilities facing poverty.
U.S. public schools serve more than 7 million students with disabilities, about 15% of the total student population. However, students with disabilities frequently face low expectations, barriers to rigorous courses, and insufficient support to graduate high school and pursue their dreams. For Black and Latinx students with disabilities experiencing poverty, the challenges are even greater. Yet research shows that 85-90% of students with disabilities can achieve at grade-level when they receive high-quality instruction and appropriate accommodations.
We are proud to be a part of bringing these resources to life for schools committed to creating a more equitable education system! đ

Twenty years ago today, more than 1.15 million peopleâincluding many GMMBersâparticipated in the March for Womenâs Lives in DC. On that day, we marched to protect abortion rights and access to reproductive health care, and we continue the fight for these essential rights today.
We were excited to join other area employers at The Treatment & Learning Centersâ new offices: they do incredible work to reduce barriers to employment for adults with disabilities (finding opportunities, providing training and job support, and more).

Sweater weather is here. As we break out our coziest knits and count down to the end of 2023, weâre just getting warmed up to fight for what matters in the new year. Hereâs to creating more positive change together in 2024, and from GMMB!
This holiday season, we're giving back to organizations that are doing the work that matters: Homeless Prenatal Program, National Coalition for the Homeless, WithinReach, N Street Village, and Breast Care for Washington D.C.. We hope you'll join us.
Thereâs nothing like food to bring people together during the holidays. GMMBers in our DC office cooked up a variety of dishes for a potluck-style meal while our Seattle office enjoyed Indigenous food from Seattleâs first Native food truck, Off the Rez.
However you may celebrate, we wish you a happy Thanksgiving!
Last night, GMMB helped deliver a historic victory on the ballot in Ohio.
Ohioans showed up and voted âYesâ on Issue 1, enshrining reproductive rights in the Ohio State Constitution, and protecting their fundamental rights, freedom, and privacy. Our team led the paid TV creative and media buying for Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights (OURR) - helping deliver a decisive win with a strong margin.
A huge congratulations to OURR on this win, and thank you to our partners on this work at Global Strategy Group, Mission Control, Wavelength Strategy, and Liftoff!

GMMB was proud to partner with Everytown for Gun Safety to elect gun sense candidates in Virginia's state legislative elections, and in Pennsylvaniaâs Supreme Court race.
In Virginia, GMMB produced ads in 10 key state Senate and House districts to help secure a Democratic majority in both chambers - a total rebuke of GOP Gov. Glenn Youngkin.
And in Pennsylvania, GMMB helped defeat Republican Supreme Court nominee Carolyn Carluccio, and protect Pennsylvanians from her extreme MAGA agenda. Take a look at some of our spots for Everytown in PA & VA here: https://bit.ly/3SF8bnc
Congratulations to our founding partner Annie Burns for this incredible honor from her alma mater. She is a beacon of inspiration to GMMBers, committing her expertise to the defining issues of our time.
Annie Burns, BAâ83, will receive the Creighton University College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Merit Award during Creighton Universityâs annual Evening of Honors Celebration on August 25. Burns is among 11 honorees recognized as exemplars of the Creighton traditions of excellence as well as action.
âIâd like to thank Creighton for deepening my Jesuit values and inspiring my work in politics and in my career. I have had incredible professional opportunities to work on critical issues affecting people in need â from promoting health insurance for families with low to moderate incomes, to championing childrenâs priorities in state and federal policy decisions, to engaging on defining political campaigns in the U.S. and abroad. At the same time, I have been honored to lead a firm of talented advocates devoted to making real and lasting change in the world.â
