While AWS estimates that 7,500 government agencies use its platform, there is a dearth of resources describing how to use AWS services to implement a NIST-compliant Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA). In collaboration with our Cloud and DevSecOps experts, TCG's CTO Robert Buccigrossi's has developed a model to fill that void.

Have you ever been too busy, even for something important? Got stuck in a long line you had no time for? Missed an event because of a last-minute emergency? We’ve all been there.
What is the answer to your dilemmas? Early Voting.
October 26th is Vote Early Day, a nonpartisan movement to make sure people know about their options to vote early — and do it.
Created in 2020, more people voted early that year than in 2018 and 2016 combined! Eliminate those last-minute challenges that could otherwise stop you from casting a ballot.
WHAT IS EARLY VOTING AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Early voting is where you vote in person or by mail in the days and weeks before Election Day.Voting early ensures last-minute problems will not prevent you from casting a ballot.
Early voting helps shorten voting lines on Election Day for everyone. Convenient for you AND good for your neighbors!
Rules and dates for early voting vary widely by state; find your state’s early voting specifics here.
So:
Head to voteeearlyday.org

Go cast your ballot
And Celebrate that you did your part to make our Democracy strong!
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Spotlight on Dolores Huerta

On this day, we make the push to get everyone registered to vote. In other words - Let’s GET THIS DONE!
It is important to get registered to vote - our democracy depends on it! Voter registration is the first step in being ready to vote.
It’s the process where people prove their eligibility to vote in federal, state, and local elections.
States have different registration and identification requirements and deadlines, so it’s important to let people know how to check the rules where they live.
Learn more about voter registration in each state at https://vote.gov/
1 in 4 eligible Americans either aren’t registered to vote or aren’t sure if they’re registered! If you changed your name or moved, it is time to update your voter registration. If you turned 18, became a new citizen, or never got around to it, it is time to register to vote! It's now super simple to get you registered.
Thanks from all your TCG colleagues!

Celebrating the Anniversary of the ADA
One of the most important pieces of Civil Rights legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act, was signed into law on July 26, 1990. We want to honor the anniversary of that legislation by highlighting the work of Justin Dart Jr., a major contributor and one of the people that helped open the door for so many others.

TCG was named a top five midsize businesses in the D.C. area by the Washington Post!

TCG is proud to announce that we are a finalist for the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) 2023 awards in two categories, Award of Excellence and Executive of the Year!
Taking steps towards greater sustainability, accountability, and transparency in our industry – working with the Federal government – is a crucial part of our mission to look beyond the bottom line. By supporting federal agencies, we contribute to the creation of new businesses, national infrastructure, scientific discoveries, national security, and countless programs that support the wellbeing of those living in the U.S. and abroad. For example:
Since 2013, TCG has supported the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s (MCC) mission to help lead the fight against global poverty. MCC provides grants that promote economic growth, poverty reduction, and helps to strengthen institutions. TCG provides a tailored Agile methodology for operations, maintenance, and enhancements of mission-critical databases, applications, and systems.
TCG has supported Integrity.gov since its inception to serve over 24,000 users across 144 government agencies, including the entire Executive Branch and the Department of Defense. Integrity is an electronic financial disclosure system created by the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) to enhance ethics and promote transparency.
More recently, TCG helped modernize the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS) to improve the way public comments are captured, categorized, and synthesized for analysis.
As the world becomes more environmentally concerned, businesses are increasingly leveraging "green marketing" to reach conscientious customers. But not all marketing is created equal. Being a B Corp means not only caring for the planet, but putting it first in our processes and decisions.
It’s just one of the reasons we encourage our employees to telecommute, set a greenhouse gas emission reduction goal of a 10% emissions intensity per full time employee by 2025, and purchased 625 metric tons of carbon offsets.
Last year, through One Tree Planted, TCG planted one tree for each paycheck issued and 10 trees for each invoice we sent – for a total of over 5,000 trees planted in US National Parks!
If projects are going as planned – steady, consistent sprint burndowns with quality, predictable deliverables – is it really necessary to sharpen the Agile saw? Yes.

Part of the rigorous assessment to become a B Corp U.S. & Canada includes evaluating a company’s contributions to its employees. Fortunately, TCG hires outstanding employees and is always improving its effort to show appreciation for their dedication to TCG.
In addition to offering better-than-standard compensation and benefits, TCG has its own Happiness Department to ensure that our people have the best community, culture, professional development opportunities, and work/life balance in the industry.
This year, TCG prioritized increasing the minimum number of paid days off. New TCGers now start off with 33 PTO days total, 15 of which are dedicated to vacation with the option to “purchase” up to 5 more annually. According to LinkedIn, private sector employees usually receive 10 days after one year of service.
