Our History

CECPAP was founded in February 2017 in the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA, by a group of students studying Conflict Analysis and Resolution at the world’s premier School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University situated in Arlington, Virginia. At one of the students’ deliberations on how to attain world peace, the conflict resolution scholars debated and concurred on many issues that lead to the attainment of world peace. One of the issues they agreed on was if everyone engages in conflict prevention rather than violence the world at large would become a peaceful place for human existence. Being moved by this concept, the group of students decided to conceptualize their resolve by educating people on the importance of conflict prevention. CECPAP, as an institution, was established to promulgate the students’ idea to the world about the significant of conflict prevention/resolution. Creating a society where people can live and resolve their differences through problem solving methodologies is CECPAP’s mission.
