A big thank you to everyone who came out to our first Amazing Race style scavenger hunt Mission NYC! Our participants traveled all across midtown Manhattan, visiting iconic NYC landmarks and recreating the best and funniest New York moments!
Grand Governor Markella alongside PGP Maria Ana attended the 10th Annual Loukoumi Make A Difference Event! The Loukoumi Make a Difference Foundation was PGP Maria Ana’s President Project during 2022-2023 year! Their mission is to inspire the youth to get involved in their communities and to develop their leadership skills! (Sounds familiar? 😜 ) District 6 District Governor Christina, District Treasurer Sophia and Pygmalion 126 member Patty joined in the festivities as well!
What better way to explore the city that never sleeps than a scavenger hunt!?
This year during the Maids Of Athena will be participating in !!! Teams of up to 5 will walk around midtown, solving riddles that lead to clues to some of New York’s most iconic landmarks! Teams will earn points visiting each location and can always win bonus points performing special tasks!

On April 28th, Grand Vice President Stephanie traveled to Peabody, MA to reactive our Alkistis #66 Chapter. GVP Stephanie had the assistance of multiple DOP Sisters including current District 8 Governor and DOP PGP Elaine Kevgas, D8 Lt Governor Sophia Koziski, Past District Governor Diane Paterakis, MOA District Advisor Nancy Geourntas, and the two chapter advisors Irene Frangos Felite and Alexis Zarkades. Thank you to our DOP sister for their assistance in reactivating this chapter! Congratulations Sisters! Welcome to our Sisterhood!
📍Ohio📍 Grand Vice President Stephanie Owens traveled to Ohio to visit our D11 sisters! On Sunday morning, GVP Stephanie, PGP Tria Charnas, D11 District Secretary Demitria Tsonton, and DOP D11 Governor Linda Natale attended Lita #73’s annual pasta luncheon where our Sisters were able to fundraise over $1000 that will benefit different sectors in their local community. After exploring the city of Cleveland, GVP Stephanie along with PGP Tria had a meeting with some of our Sisters from Elpida #274 where they discussed upcoming events and plans! Thank you to D11 for hosting GVP Stephanie, we are so excited for all your plans to come to life!
Last Sunday, the Maids of Athena and Sons of Pericles came together to march with the AHEPA family and celebrate 203 years of Greek Independence at the annual Greek Independence Day Parade in New York City! 🇬🇷
Over the weekend, Grand Governor Markella was invited to attend the annual Philadelphia Greek Independence Day Parade and the Annual Eleftheria Banquet. There, along with PGP Maria Ana and Supreme President Savas Tsivicos posed along side the Greek Presidential Guard known as the Evzones and spoke to Sofia Tsitsimpikou - 2nd lieutenant officer of the Greek Military. GG Markella joined our sisters in our Cherry Hill and Upper Darby chapters, marching down Ben Franklin Parkway to celebrate and honor Greek Independence Day!

It was a busy weekend in the Empire District! 🗽
On Friday, Grand Governor Markella joined her home chapter Olga Moutselos #255 for a meeting where they initiated 6 new sisters into the order! On Saturday, lodge hosted their annual D6 Mid-Year Conference where they had attendance from all 5 chapters all across New York State! Together they discussed how their chapters are doing this year and shared ideas on how to strengthen the district for the future!
Over the weekend, Grand Governor Markella traveled up to Boston to visit their .aea chapter! Presented with the warmest of welcomes, our sisters took GG Markella all around Concord exploring the historic sites! During their Valentine’s themed meeting they discussed their upcoming 3rd Annual Spring Semi Formal that is set to take place on April 6th and initiated two new members into the order! We also participated in a “Get To Know Your Grand Governor” Blooket!
Over the weekend, Grand President Ally, Grand Secretary Lia made their way up to visit our brothers and sisters in Montreal, Quebec to attend the 23rd Annual St. Valentine’s Ball❣️

Last weekend, GVP Stephanie Owens attended the District 13 Mid Year Conference in Glenview, IL. Also in attendance were AHEPA SVP Chris Kaitson, AHEPA ST Demetrios Kirkiles, AHEPA SC Themis Frangos, AHEPA SAD Chris G. Atsaves, AHEPA SG6 George George, Past SVP Louis Atsaves, DOP ZG2 Patty Didik, and SOP SVP Basili Ronstadt. Looking back at the past few months excites D13 even more for the future! Upon conclusion of the meetings, the DOP & AHEPA gathered for a service project. Blankets for Project Linus were made. Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. The day concluded with a wonderful luncheon!
The Maids of Athena deeply grieve the passing of Past Grand Governor Clea Reklitis. Clea dedicated many years to the Ottawa chapter of the Maids of Athena, serving diligently in roles such as Chapter President, District Governor, and Grand Governor. She cherished the opportunity to attend National Conventions, engaging in meetings, social activities, and reconnecting with friends from all corners of North America.
May her memory be eternal.

Thank you, PGP Becky, for your constant dedication, guidance and love that you had for our organization. You were a role model and a leader to the entire AHEPA Family.

On January 5, Grand Secretary Lia traveled to Portland, Oregon, to visit the sisters of Diane #3. During her stay, the girls of Diane #3 generously guided GS Lia through the city’s attractions, including Multnomah Falls, Powell’s Bookstore, and the famous Voodoo Doughnut. The visit also included attending the chapter’s Christmas party, where festivities included a potluck, a white elephant gift exchange, and games. We are so excited to see what they come up with next!
