Thanks to Dr. Fenton Williams for getting our doorbell from 1860 working again today! What do you think? Sounds just like new! Not bad for being attached to the front door of the Gunn Museum for 158 years, since the Civil War! Our doorbell was made by Augustus E. Taylor, of the Taylor Manufacturing Company in New Britain, CT, a prolific inventor of a wide variety of products.

Thanks to everyone who attended our 10th Annual New Years Tea today! And thanks to our amazing volunteers: Ann Quackenbos on the piano, cookie contest judges, setup and cleanup helpers, bakers, servers, and greeters who made it happen! Wishing all a happy and healthy 2018!
