Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there. Farmers are running a bit behind with all this precipitation so you still have time to sneak in to tweak stands, overseed plots, get a few trees in the ground etc.. We have blinds in stock and orders coming in later this month. We also have about every variety of oak seedling trees available for $ 2.00 a tree along with grow tubes. Are you prepared for an in season snow storm next year… Now is the time to start prepping/planning for next year. We have a few Orion blinds in stock and just received a small 360 Blind order as well. Our Tactacam’s are still rolling and we would estimate 50% antler drop thus far. There is a lot of luck involved deer hunting but we would take preparation over luck most days. We had a blessed 2023 season but look forward to 2024! We are getting geared up for CRP plantings along with spring plots/tree plantings. If you need assistance with anything deer hunting either we can help or point you in the right direction. We are all set up here Hank & Lilly's Creekside for the Annual Hopkins Memorial Coyote Hunt. Blind raffles are rolling and we are having 2 separate raffles for the 360 Pro Blind and the custom 6x6 made by the WHS Construction Class. Tickets are $20 each and proceeds go towards Backstoppers Education fund in honor of our good friend ISP Nick Hopkins. We will be drawing around 4 pm. There is no ATM here and raffle will be cash only. We will except Venmo up until raffle if you can’t make it down. Message us for details if need be. Can’t wait to see everyone down here for this great cause.

We will be having a special blind raffle this year of this custom made blind. Voelker Outdoors along with the Waterloo High School Construction class has donated there time to complete this blind and it really turned out great. It is a 6x6 with Orion windows, turf floor, and a few more options to go with it as well. Mr. Lucash and his students really knocked it out of the park on this build. The blind is ready to go but could still be insulated or finished however the winner wishes. We also want to thank Waterloo Lumber Co. - IL for there generous donation in making this possible. All proceeds for this raffle will go to Backstoppers. The raffle will be tomorrow around 4 at the Annual Hopkins Memorial Coyote Hunt. Tickets will be available later tonight on site at the event Hank & Lilly's Creekside. Very limited tickets on this raffle and tickets are $20 a piece. Hope to see everyone brave the weather and make it down there tomorrow for this great event.

Did you stay in this last weekend of deer season bc of the brutal cold? Every deer alive was on the hoof in daylight hours due to the weather. The only way to outlast them is to be in a sealed tight blind. We are raffling off a 360 Pro 6x6 360 Hunting Blind this weekend for theAnnual Hopkins Memorial Hunt this Saturday the 20th around 3pm Hank & Lilly's Creekside where tickets will be available all week up until the drawing. There is no ATM there as this is a cash only raffle for $20 a ticket with a limited amount available. Happy Hour Sports Bar in Waterloo will also be selling tickets all week. Please stop in to these local establishments and support them along with helping raise money for Backstoppers in honor of ISP Nick Hopkins. Stay tuned for another surprise raffle we are working on for this event.

Colder temperatures are on the way and if you are still on the fence about a blind it’s not too late. We put out a blind on the Monday before Missouri rifle season and Wes was lucky enough to get his first deer on the second day. Congrats to all the successful first season gun hunters and good luck to everyone still grinding. The myth of deer need a long time to get use to a blind or stand is not the case. We had lots of success putting out a few blinds Thursday evening and saw plenty of deer in range all weekend. If you need anything feel free to message or call.

Happy Veterans Day, and Thank you to all who have served and are currently serving. We have had a busy few weeks with getting last minute blinds out and trying to sneak some hunts in ourselves. Good luck to all the Missouri rifle season hunters as that’s where we find ourselves right now. Alissa was able to put a nice 8 point buck down last weekend and I was fortunate enough to have some luck yesterday with this old 10 Point. The Tactacam Reveal Hunting & Security Camera's and Accessories really helped me to be in the right place at the right time and even caught the after shot. The amount of wounds and injuries this deer already had was astonishing. The amount of hunters he has probably eluded over the years will never be known but I’m sure he has disappointed many other hunters including myself over the years. For a deer to live as long as he did in a pressured area is amazing. His jaw will be sent off for official aging but we are guessing him to be 9.5. Let us know if you still need anything blind or camera related as we will be hoping to put a few finishing touches on our own blinds tomorrow.

We have a good inventory of blinds In stock at the moment, we are one of the first dealers to get the new camo Orion blinds. We just received a large shipment of 360 blinds. Every model of Tactacam Reveal Cell cams are in stock along with accessories. There is still time to get these blinds out there as they are all modular and require no equipment. Thanks for all the recent purchases, we are trying are best to keep up these past few weeks. We couldn’t do this without our behind the scene crew assemblers!

Congrats to all the youth hunters who were able to have success these past few days! The Hit Nmiss Outdoors is such a great organization that does so much for our youth. They will be raffling off one of our blinds still tonight so if you are down there grab yourself some tickets. We still have a ways to go but for Alissa’s first sit we had a buck parade and her target buck come by at 10yds. Out with the old and in with the new. We took down a homemade blind that was structurally sound but rough around the edges and critter infested. We then put up an all aluminum Orion 6x6 with a custom paint job and lots of options. We were able to walk the panels right up and assemble on the pre existing tower. If your looking for a blind we have Orions in stock and limited availability of our 360 Hunting Blind at the moment but more being shipped in. We have been at the Monroe County Fair all week in the commercial building. We had a special guest Queen Jada Voelker earlier this week. If you make it out there come on in the air conditioned building and cool off and check out all the vendors inside. We have our 360 Hunting Blind as well as Orion Hunting Products on display. We also stock Tactacam Reveal Trail Camera's but they are moving quickly. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions. Price sheets are in pictures and discounts available for multiple blind purchases. Deer season is year round so never to early to get a head start.

Extra thankful Mother Nature brought us some long overdue rain. If this was a fall day it would have been a perfect day to be in a blind all day with the light on and off rain. Even though most of our bean/screen/ food plots have suffered and quite a few will need replanted we have had decent luck with some added trees. We have been able to limp them along with watering but glad to finally get some time off from that. It appears this coyote has a fawns head with mom looking on in the background, very disturbing sight for all of us deer hunters but the circle of life in the wild is always harsh. Antler growth is coming on strong and we are gearing up to get more of our Tactacam Reveal Trail Camera's up and running soon. Whether it’s wildlife pictures or security they are an extra tool for year round scouting. If you are wanting to get a kickstart for this fall or sneak a blind out between crop rotations now is the time. Deer season is 365!

Deer Season is year round and always a good time for land management and getting blinds/stands up. Don’t wait til the last minute to get your plan together. We had Plum Creek Land Management LLC help us set up our property for the future. Zach really knows his stuff and goes above and beyond to help get properties heading in the right direction. Reach out to them for anything land management. We still have lots of trees to plant and prep work. It’s crazy how fast a burned field of switchgrass can start to turn green. We have traveled quite a few miles looking for sheds/scouting. We have not found the sheds we’ve hoped for. It seems the predators are still going strong and found more dead heads and fresh kills then we were expecting. Congrats to Dane Walter on winning Tactacam trail camera. With around a month to go before everything turns green and the farmers are hitting the fields there is no better time then now to get stands/blinds setup for the upcoming year. We are going to extend the drawing for a Tactacam til next Sunday the 12th due to the wet conditions and bucks still holding on antlers Shed hunting has been slow so far and only real luck we’ve had is sheds we found that are last year sheds. Judging from cameras and fellow outdoorsman most are still hanging on. Drop a pic of any sheds you find in the comments on this original post. We will do a random drawing next Sunday/March 5th for Tactacam Reveal cell camera. Now is the time to plan for next year. We have moved a few blinds these past few weeks but everything with this mild winter is going green quickly. We also offer land clearing/food plot installs with your choice of seed/brand. We are also looking into tree planting/spraying for fruit trees. The key is to spray/maintain before disease/bug arrive. Found this beat up metal sign that seems pretty fitting for our state at the moment. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions. Tonight we were able to meet with the local BackStoppers and hand over the funds raised by this years tournament! This tournament is always meant to be fun and fair and enjoyed by everyone but most importantly… we are a charity event. Every penny raised goes directly to a charity to help make a difference, which is exactly what Nick would have done. 💙

We hope everyone has had a successful hunting season thus far. It’s not to late to get a blind out for the last 3-4 weeks of the season. This brutal cold coming will have deer on there feet and in a blind with a heater is the only realistic way to hunt during these conditions. We currently have some blinds in stock and have more arriving in the middle of January. We will be raffling off 360 Hunting Blind Shanty Hunter at the Annual Hopkins Memorial Coyote Hunt We are still ironing out the final details and hope to have it running asap!
