Excited to announce our keynote for the upcoming OONE Cedar ValleyBBarriers No More Summit and Career Fair EEvette Creightonis the Director of Talent, Inclusion and Diversity at Transamerica. In her role she provides
strategic direction and oversight to inclusion & diversity, talent review, succession planning, and performance management.
Evette has over 15 years of Talent Management, Inclusion and Diversity experience. While at Transamerica, she previously served as a Sr Manager in Talent Management and prior, a Human Resource Business Partner.

Evette joined Transamerica in 2018 from avionics and aerospace manufacturer Rockwell Collins, and prior to that served as head of multiculturalism and inclusion at national test maker ACT.
Evette is the Secretary of the Women Lead Change Board of Directors and serves on their EPIC advisory committee. She is a member of the Transamerica Institute Board of Directors and
represents Transamerica on the American Council of Life Insurers’ (ACLI) Diversity Equity and Inclusion Forum.

Evette is a recipient of both the Corridor Business Journal& #39;s 40 under 40 and Most Influential Leader award for the Iowa Corridor region. She has a BA in psychology and a Master’s in
Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa. While completing her degree, she served as Miss Black Iowa, USA.

In her free time, Evette serves in ministerial leadership at New City Church Cedar Rapids and provides mentorship to professional women and women of color to help them advance their career.

Evette lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with her husband, Martez and two daughters, Evie and Ezra.

She enjoys spending quality time with her family, serving her community, and watching her girls participate in extracurricular activities.

This week our ONE Cedar Valley younger students explored the world of IT .. from coding to gaming with .. Shenae Rivers awesome how you connected their love of gaming with career and a competition 🙌🏾💪🏾 .. they closed out the week week with a trip to VGM & Associates

Older students were in career prep week as Ridgeway stopped in to teach scholarships and more!!

Stephanie Detweiler, PHR has been promoted at Grow Cedar Valley from Workforce Solutions Coordinator to Director of Workforce and Talent. This much-deserved elevation reflects the values she holds as a good partner and collaborator with our investors and the greater business community in the area of talent recruitment and retention.

Over the last 10 months, she helped lead the successful ex*****on of the 2nd regional wage and benefit study along with GCV’s regional economic development partners. She is also establishing a workforce advisory council that will help guide programming and initiatives that align with GCV’s 5-year strategic plan and has recently been appointed to the Leader Valley Council representing Grow Cedar Valley. Stephanie came to Grow Cedar Valley from the private sector and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). PHR certification signifies that individuals possess theoretical and practical experience in human resources.
