We may be taking a page out of the Unity Hockey Club playbook on the practice jerseys. These were designed for us, and they look nice. They are reversible and good quality, so they will last, and they certainly help with keeping things organized at practice. We have some inexpensive practice jerseys now, but it would be great to have something like this in the future. The order would cost about two thousand dollars for 35 jerseys. We are open to a sponsor for the jerseys if anyone in the community has the means or knows of a corporate donor; if not, we may fundraise to purchase them.

⚡️Meet the Dynamic Duo Behind Our College Hockey Team! 🏒
In the heart of Jefferson’s hockey club, there is a dynamic duo whose passion for the sport and community spirit has sparked something truly special on our campus. Meet Owen Newton (left) and Zach Blevins (right), two local kids who aren't just your average students, but the driving force behind the rise of our college hockey team! Growing up on the same street, Owen and Zach’s bond was forged on the ice from a young age. Zach says, “Our families are friends, our brothers are friends, even our dogs are best friends.” (LOL) Their history together, and shared love of the game is remarkable. It’s no surprise that they both finished in the top 10 of their graduating high school class and are attending JCC tuition-free thanks to the Jeff-Can Community Scholars Program, which reinforced their choice to attend college locally.

Prior to even stepping foot in the classroom, Owen and Zach were working to form a hockey team, pitching their ideas to the Director of Athletics, and talking with Coach Mike Ledoux, who has been a significant figure in their lives since playing little league hockey.

In its inaugural year, the Jefferson hockey club boasted 20 members and closed the season with a commendable 15-10 record, with Owen serving as president and Zach as vice president of the club. Significantly, even more students have enrolled for the upcoming season. So, here’s a shout out to Owen and Zach!!
We can't wait to see how the hockey team does next year! 🌟🏒

VERY IMPORTANT
Everyone who is attending JCC this fall needs to register for classes this week or set up an appointment to do so and notify Coach Ledoux by email or text. We need to know and so does Athletics, Residence Life etc... so this needs to be done. Many of you have already done this but many more have not. Please take care of this ASAP!
