I'm guessing you have a jar or container around your home that has been collecting your loose change and we have an idea for what you can do with it! For the month of July we will be hosting Coins for Critters and asking for YOUR help to fill our aquarium with coins to help the shelter pets! Maybe you've already cashed in your piggy bank? No problem! Encourage your kids to host a lemonade stand, make and sell bracelets or find other creative ways to raise coins 🪙 It's a pretty big tank and we'll take all the help we can get to fill it! We'll grab a photo when you come in to share on our board in hopes your donation will encourage others to participate. Stay tuned at the end of July where we'll be taking guesses on how much was raised and offer prizes to whoever guesses the closest to the total amount! Mary and Cathy got us off to a good start, we can't wait to see you!

Here's a little feel good for your Wednesday and a gentle reminder to adopt a shelter cat 😻 "This is Evelyn. Formally known as “Candy” at HSMC. We like to call her Evie and Chevy. Thirteen years ago, I went to the shelter searching for a roomie…my “I’m an adult, I need an adult pet” pet. One look at “Candy’s” nose and it was all over. Roomie secured. She OBVIOUSLY hasn’t forgotten the bond we shared as single women starting out, but she has 100% conformed to the lifestyle of sharing Mom with: A man (gasp!), two human siblings, two canine siblings and one pokey (bearded dragon) best friend. This girl is now our “Grandma cat” at 14 years old, and shows no signs of slowing down. Here’s to many more years of dish duty, Chevy! ❤️❤️ -Steph"
