š¢ANNOUNCEMENT REVEALš¢ Hello APAMSA family! Weāre excited to finally reveal our big announcement: AANHPI CULTURAL HERITAGE WEEKš„³ AANHPI Heritage Month is observed annually during the month of May. Since 2021, the official themes have been centered around advancing leaders. This year, the theme is āAdvancing Leaders Through Innovationā. This entails paying homage to the trailblazers who have shaped our AANHPI history and influence our collective future.
Here at MCW APAMSA, we want to give the MCW community and beyond a chance to help us celebrate and bring community together. We will have a week filled with activities. This yearās heritage theme of āAdvancing Leaders Through Innovationā will culminate at our banquet by hearing from some accomplished AANHPI faculty at Froedtert & MCW.
More details of each event to be posted on our instagram this week. See you thenā¤ļø

Happy Hmong Heritage Month!
Wisconsin has the 3rd largest Hmong population in the United States. In 2021, it was signed that April would officially be known in Wisconsin as Hmong Heritage Month. Here at MCW APAMSA, we work to honor, celebrate, and serve our Hmong population. We would like to acknowledge their unique culture, history, contributions to Wisconsin, and sacrifices they have made.
Recently, a bill was signed to require Hmong American and Asian American history to be taught in Wisconsin schools. We hope for the continuation of Hmong advocacy in the state leading to more Hmong-language media, better healthcare access, better representation by state representatives, and more Hmong history education in school curricula.
Thank you Medical College of Wisconsin Medical College of Wisconsin APAMSA for providing Vital Screenings at MCHH's 6th Annual Health Conference.
