💰Florida’s annual Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday!
Starting on June 1, the first day of hurricane season, certain items like generators, batteries and pet supplies will be available for purchase without added sales tax. The first round of the sales tax holiday runs from June 1 to June 14. A second Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday is set for August 24 to September 6, which coincides with the peak of hurricane season. Here is a list you can save when you go to do your hurricane prep shopping!
The truth is, there is good and bad to both situations. When rates are lower, in theory, your payment is lower. But what if you have to pay more for the house? When rates are low you face more competition. This can drive up the price and force you to make quick decisions with less contingencies. However, when rates are a little higher like they are right now, you often can secure a better deal. You can be more aggressive with your offer and are likely to have less competition. If you want to discuss what you should do, message me today. We’ll lay out your personal situation and create a plan that is best for YOU!👊
I get asked alot about what are the main things to consider when going through the home selection process. Here are some of the main ones. If you have a different one, comment it below!
Your home 🏠 value 💲is determined by a variety of factors but here are the main variables. If you want to know exactly what your home is worth, message me the address and I will get right on it!
Life happens. It happens to all of us. We lose a loved one. A relationship ends. We lose a job. We have to relocate etc. As life happens, it may trigger a real estate move. This can be stressful. But that is why you have me in your circle. I do and can help you navigate whatever is being thrown at you. Just call 📱 me. (813) 598-0025
Back in 2021 post craziness of 2020 I heard a lot of people pushing out their home purchase. “I’ll wait for the rates to go down again”. “I’m waiting for prices to fall”. The challenges is, that most of the people I have heard these statements from, never pulled the trigger. They just find themselves 36 months later with higher rates, and pricing up another 15-20% in most markets. The fact of the matter is, real estate tends to increase 3-5% a year consistently. Rates will go up and down and you can always refinance. So “timing” the market is never a good idea. Buying as soon as you can, taking advantage of the equity growth and race benefits, and adjusting your rate when they lower, is the way to go. I can help. Reach out today.
Merry Christmas🎄

⚠️⚠️ATTN Citizens Homeowners Insurance Policy holders pay close attention to your mailbox!
Approximately 300K homeowners will receive a letter from Citizens stating they will automatically be transferred to a private insurer if they don’t respond by OCTOBER 10th. The envelopes DO NOT stress an urgent deadline. In many cases the private carriers may have significantly higher premiums.
If you receive a buyout letter, you are not required to accept, but if the offer is within 20% of Citizens’ rate, customers who decline the private offer will be UNABLE to renew their policy with Citizens. Those who receive offers can make their choice by contacting their agent or online at citizensfla.com/online-choice.
