We are looking for a snow removal sub-contractor for the rest of this season and future seasons. Small to medium sized commercial properties in the Mason/Liberty Center and Hamilton area.

Sub-contractor will be responsible for clearing parking lot only. We provide the deicer and clear any sidewalks as needed.

All roads and pavement starting to turn to ice. Be careful out there!

It appears we are in for a real mess Thursday - Friday.
Current forecasts call for rain changing over to ice around 1:00am Thursday morning. Ice will fall in our area until around 2:00pm Thursday when it will change to snow. Snow will continue to fall until around 10:00 am Friday morning. We can see 2-4" of snow accumulation on top of ice.

Snow on top of ice is a very bad scenario and very hazardous!

Of course last time we had a forecast like this we ended up with 8" of snow!

Be careful out there!

We have some pop up light snow coming into the area that could drop an additional 1/2" of snow around 8am!

Here is a private office project we designed a coupe of years ago for Fluid Technologies. The project will go into construction this spring!

Looks like we will have our first accumulating snow of the season on Thursday. This will be a minor snow event other than the timing is right around rush hour.

For properties north of the Downtown area we expect less than 1" of snow. Properties north of 275 may get less than 1/2".

Snow Service Update - We will be hit by significant snowfall over the next 28 hours. Snow will move in around midnight Sunday and continue through Tuesday morning.

The snow Sunday into Monday will not be significant (2-3") and we should have all lots cleared by morning.

The problem will be Monday afternoon and evening. By 4:00 pm snowfall may be significant. Worse still the winds are predicted to blow between 25 and 30 mph. With snow falling at 1" to 2" per hour there will be nothing we, or street crews, can do to keep lots or streets clear. We will wait until the system moves through (around 11:00 pm) and then clear the lots for Tuesday morning.

If this system does what they are predicting I would be home by 4:00 pm Monday and stay there.

Snow Service Update...
We are about to get hit with a sudden snow. I think after 4 to 5pm the heavy snow is done with trailing snow through the evening.

Properties north and west of city 1". Properties south and east run for cover.

Since it is so close to the end of the day we will let the snow fall, then treat all properties after traffic and the parking lots are empty. We may need to start again in the morning for overnight snow.

Get home while you can!

Snow Service Alert......
Yesterday we saw how unpredictable weather can be. Although we expected 3-4" of snow most of our area received 8" or more of snow within 6 hours overnight. We are very proud of the crews at KPS who made sure all our sites ere clear on schedule.

Snow will move into our area around midday today. Properties closer to the river may see snow early and light ice mixed in with the snow.

Properties near the river will get around one inch of snow by Thursday morning. Areas north may get as much as two inches of snow.

Our plan is to treat properties with organically treated deicer. This material is safer for your property and will melt more snow in lower temperatures. One treatment in the mid-morning should maintain most properties. Sites with evening services may need another treatment.

As always please update KPS with any special service needs.

Snow Service Update (Friday 6:00 am)

A substantial snow will that move through this weekend will be more of a mess than an obstacle.

Snow totals have dropped substantially (now 2"), and the heavy snow will be followed by rain and higher temperatures. Mother Nature cleans most of her own mess this weekend.

There will be heavy snow between 6:00pm and 9:00pm Saturday evening. For businesses open in the evening and most residential properties we will place heavy deicer to get you through the evening.

By early Sunday morning the snow has turned to rain. For businesses and churches that have Sunday morning hours we may need to treat the properties again to make sure the lots are clear before they are cleared by the rain.

There will be more snow early Monday morning and throughout the day on Monday. Temperatures will stay low on Monday also. Monday morning rush hour will be the real headache this weekend!
