Tonight is the Full Pink Moon. The Moon won't actually be the colour pink, the name comes from the herb, moss pink or wild ground phlox, and pink blossom which are bright pink in colour, they are one of the earliest widespread flowers of the Spring. Other names for the April Moon are Seed, Wind, Sprouting Grass, Egg and Fish Moon.

This Full Moon is in the sign of Libra. You can't hide anything from a Libra, they are natural detectives. This is the time when everything will be brought to light, secrets and lies will be found out. We will see things as they really are. Libra is an air element, which is all about the intellect, seeing the truth and asking questions, we will feel emotional around this time and our minds will clear allowing us to see what we could not see before.

In April the thunderstorms of March are beginning to subside and the wind picks up. Seeds are being blown about on the breezes spreading life all around from one place to the next. This is a brilliant time to start any new projects or ideas we may have, our minds will be filled with creativity and the spreading of thoughts and ideas. This is also the perfect time to conceive as fertility is abundant at this time.

The pull of the past can be strong on this Full Moon. People we haven't seen for a while may contact us, we may find ourselves thinking of our past and the people from long ago. We may find our best intentions going up in smoke as we embrace old habits and fall back into old destructive patterns. Try and be strong and not take the easy option, instead take the road which will give you the best results. Stay away from bad habits or patterns that keep leading you down a certain path of unhappiness, break the cycle.

Emotions are running high on this Libra Pink Moon, our smallest emotions can be magnified and intensified making us feel a little overwhelmed at times. This is the time to put your gratitude forth for all the many blessings in your life and to clearly speak aloud your desires, let what you want be heard by the universe as we step across this edge to the other side, where miracles and magic can happen, dreams can come true. Allow yourself to ask for more.

We are in a powerful time where we are asked to look at what is no longer working in our lives, where is the old skin stuck and inhibiting our further growth. Shed your old skin to allow new growth. At this time we can be surrounded by things, people, situations, attitudes that are actually toxic and need to be burned in the fire, so we can rebirth ourselves from the ashes like the phoenix does.

Use the light of this Full Moon to cast away negativity and the negative aspects of our lives and to let positive and good pour in. Open yourself up and allow your vessel to be filled with the blessings that the universe is sending out right now. Let the winds of Libra gently blow over your spirit to cleanse and heal you.

You've heard about post care for a massage, but what about getting ready for a massage?

Here's 5 tips to get ready for the best experience possible.

1: Put your appointment in your phone's calendar!
Putting your appointment in your calendar can go along way in helping you keep your appointment, especially if you have a busy schedule! Set reminders as often as you think you'll need to make sure you're out the door on time!

2: Be well hydrated but don't forget a bathroom trip!
Hydrated muscles are responsive muscles and you'll get a better result with less resistance to the relaxation. But don't forget to go to the bathroom before your appointment! You don't want to spend your appointment needing to p*e or having to get up!

3: Arrive 5-10 minutes early!
Your appointment time is when we want to already have you on the table with the work beginning. Arriving early gives us the time to discuss your goals for the session and getting you on the table without cutting into your time.

4: Have a clear goal for your session in mind when you go in.
What made you schedule your appointment in the first place? Is it an achy neck? Shoulder injury? Or just wanting to relax from a stressful week? Be ready to tell us this- saying "just a massage!" Actually gives your therapist little to go on! Every detail changes how we plan to approach your session.

5: Mentally prepare to relax and enjoy!
You're here to relax so relax! If you have any concerns or worries about your appointment, don't hesitate to reach out to your therapist with them so we can answer and explain anything. We're more than happy to!

It's Self Care Sunday!
💧Drinking water is important to your health! The adult human body is on average 60% water, and water serves many vital functions in maintaining a healthy body. Water is the solution in which all of our vital functions operate in, making it less of a recommendation and more of a requirement.
💧Adequate hydration allows for proper digestion and absorption of dietary nutrients. (Especially if one is consuming a high protein diet!) It also allows your endocrine glands to function better, helping to stabilize hormone levels and improves liver and kidney function, the true detoxifiers of the body.
💧Water doesn't just come from our liquid intake! Water also comes in various food sources! If very dehydrated, drinking cold liquid with a 6% sugar content will hydrate you faster than just water alone.
💧Electrolytes,which can come in food sources and sports drinks are also vital for healthy nerve and muscle function, so are a good thing to consume mindfully!

Take time to relax, rest, and digest.
Letting your body relax is good for all of your systems, mental and physical! It gives your body a chance to recover from the bustle of everyday life and allows you to keep going at it and getting things done! Take some time every week to do something that relaxes and rejuvenates you! (Hmmmm! Maybe... A massage?!)

Protracted (forward) and rounded shoulders are often the result of overstretched, underactive and weak mid back/shoulder muscles. Targeting these muscles in a resistance workout in combination with massage, stretching, and foam rolling of the front of your shoulders can restore them to their healthy state and relieve pain that results from this joint distortion!
While you can learn techniques on your own by searching these exercise out online, it's always best to seek out one on one training when you're still learning proper movement!
