If a snow emergency is declared, be sure to remove parked vehicles from the streets so that plows can safely and effectively clear the snow. Depending on the severity of the weather, Mayor Coleman may also open Warming Centers. If that happens, we will post locations and hours here and on our website www.CityofWestland.com. We ask that you share this information with anyone you know who might not see it. Please check on your neighbors who may be disabled or elderly, and keep an eye on your pets as well.

Westland Youth Assistance Director Paul Motz was recently presented a check for $10,000 from Doug North on behalf of North Brothers Ford. The gift came from money that was raised throughout the year from the many charitable events that North Brothers Ford holds annually. The money will be used by the Westland Youth Assistance Program to provide resources and programs that will have a positive impact on youth and teens in our city. Thank you to North Brothers Ford for once again showing why you are such a valuable asset to our community and an incredible business partner.

This is a great opportunity for the residents of Wayne-Westland to exercise rights to weigh in on the decisions of your elected.

Next School Board Meeting is December 18, 2023 - 7-9 PM

From our past article on the privatization of Wayne Westland Bussing - The Wayne-Westland Community Schools Board will make the final decision on the successful bidder, with the contract approval on December 18, 2023. This meeting is expected to be extremely significant - as it will make or break their current timeline (if they are going forward with it). You have an opinion pro or con, you should make a point to be there.
