Mitch Ryder was outstanding. What a great night considering I've never seen him live before. Blew away all expectations with hin doing it with almost 8 decades on this planet!
Horse Cave Trio and Derek St Holmes at The Token Lounge last night bringing the heat.

Here's a few pics from Eva Under Fire on Friday.
Got to check out Eva Under Fire with Boys of Fall and Fatal Conceit at District 142 for a sold out show.
The evening started with a small VIP and Listening party where around 50-75 of us got to hear 5 or 6 new songs from the upcoming album (hint - it's harder and heavier and it sounds amazing!)
Fatal Conceit rocked to start the night off once the music rolled.
Then Boys of Fall (first time seeing them) came on and blew the roof off with a combination of a sound that is a cross of Screamo, Metal, Rock, Emo, and Pop. I completely did not expect it and it was awesome!
Then EUF came out and nailed every single song. This is my second time seeing them with Dave on Drums. The first time was great but he 100% killed it this time with the rest of the band sounding absolutely perfect.
Was a great night with great people showing once again why the Detroit Area Music Scene ROCKS.
So as I mentioned in a previous post... I had to delay some plans while dealing with a family health event. Now that it has become somewhat stable it's time to MOVE FORWARD with plans I started in the beginning of summer. So the party is back on!
So I do throw out ASKS and everyone gives input allows us to do more and more for local music and the amazing venues that surround us..
Here is today's: Name your top 3 Southeast Michigan Rock/Metal bands that you either discovered this year or saw live for the 1st time.
Second Ask - Bands please send me anything you got to help promote your upcoming shows. It can be a photo or a promo video... Heck can even be a video from a cellphone that you think shows what sets you apart as The Best or Soon to be The Best. I would like to do my part to get the word out and help people discover you
The point here - Let's all work together to promote Local Music!
Cheers and Rock & Roll
Bonus for the first person who knows what Late 80s Early 90s Rock Band turned their Sleeze Rock into Sleeze Rock with Toy Dinosaurs on the AMPS taken at a recent show in the Tri County Area. (PICTURED BELOW)
Have Fun!

“ If you like shredding guitars, catchy rhythyms and ripping vocals you NEED to see Wisher!!! These cats are super locked in, highly energetic musicians that put on one of the best shows out there. To top it off, they're very nice people and you can feel the love they put into every part of what they do, go see them!!! “

🌟 This is one of the many reviews Wisher has had over the years where someone has enjoyed our energy.
It helps our page & our future if more people who have seen us leave reviews/comments on the page about the time they had with us. Even if you didn’t enjoy it and you have specifics, let us know. We want to be the thrill ride of your live music listening experience and if there’s ways to make it feel better we want to know.

I have been off of FB for a bit. Not because I don't want to keep moving forward with new adventures. In fact I am moving forward.
I was sidelined for a bit after my father suffered a stroke. He is now in an assisted living center and is doing as best as he can at 82 years old. To get there my brother and I had to navigate senior care which is a way bigger çhore than I thought. But now that he is closer and is making improvements it is indeed time to start having fun again.
I will be doing more interviews. More well... other cool things. Posting more content and stories. And yes - Still moving to print.
This is certainly a journey I loom forward to taking.
Cheers and Rock & Roll.

Had a interesting but awesome interview with Jason Caine from The Lion Within last night. Watch for it this week.
Last night this happened at The Token Lounge. This was something unexpected and it was bad ass!
Downrivers own Ray Street Park was killing it in the rain last night in Wyandotte.
Unfortunately the rain was coming down hard and the show had to end early.
I did catch their version of Can't You See by the Marshall Tucker Band and it ROCKED. Cheers and Rock & Roll!
This is an example of how Detroit is home to some great artists. They sound like an 8 cylinder engine cruising down Woodward Ave with a driver with absolutely zero f***s to give except a will to Rock and Roll Detroit style. Also, what a great way to show a collection of five finger salutes!
Do What I Wanna Do The New Old salutes authority around the globe in this not ready for prime time video for 'Do What I Wanna Do' from The New Old's second album: Ain't Dead Yet.
James Elswick of HOLESHOT and Unhinged a musical tribute to the DOORS talks about his bands and the booming Detroit music scene. Check it out.

Unhinged a musical tribute to the DOORS was a breath of psychedelic shenanagins last nighy. They dont try to look like The Doors but play to celebrate the music. Check them out... its worth a night out for sure.
