THIS IS IT! Only a few more days to get advanced tickets for the Masterworks Chorale Spring concert, “Israel in Egypt,” by G.F. Handel.

But all is not lost! You can always decide to attend at the last minute. Tickets are available at the door for $20 (the same as the advanced price) and students Grade Twelve and under may attend for free. Show up at Winters Mill High School on Sunday, April 28.

Tickets may be purchased at the door using cash, check, or PayPal. The concert begins at 3 PM. Come a bit early and take a chance (or more) on lovely, themed raffle baskets. Gift cards for local businesses are included in many of the baskets.

G. F. Handel’s “Israel in Egypt,” is a Baroque Masterpiece. This concert features the Baltimore Baroque Band from Peabody playing period instruments. The sound created by these strings and woodwinds must be heard to be believed, and fully support the soaring choruses. The Chorale is divided into two sections – in essence, two full four-part choirs to sing the double-chorus sections.

Don’t miss this wonderful classical concert. Remember, students 12th grade and under can attend FREE OF CHARGE. Think about bringing your parents!

Masterworks is getting ready for their Spring Concert G. F. Handel’s “Israel in Egypt.” If you like “Messiah,” you will be thrilled with this Oratorio. It has all the drama of the “Hallelujah Chorus,” with some lovely sections about “frogs and gnats!” The Baltimore Baroque Band from Peabody will accompany the Chorale on period instruments. Leonard Bernstein is coming to your local theater and streaming platform and one of his greatest hits will be featured in the Winter Masterworks Concert, Sunday, December 3.
Maestro is a 2023 American biographical drama film that centers on the relationship between American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife Felicia Montealegre. It is directed by Bradley Cooper, from a screenplay he wrote with Josh Singer. It was produced by Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and Cooper, among others. The film is scheduled for limited theatrical release on November 22, 2023, before streaming on Netflix on December 20, 2023.

Spring 2023 Concert Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, presented by the Masterworks Chorale of Carroll County and featuring the Carroll County Children's Chorus.

Some may remember this brilliant and iconic use of the opening chorus of Carmina Burana in John Boorman's film Excalibur. All the symbolisms are spot on!
