Swim Babies Swim Florida Survival Swimming
Swim Babies Swim gently and safely teaches aquatic survival skills and swimming to infants and young Florida leads the country.
The sad reality is that drowning is one of the leading causes of injury-related deaths among children in the United States. In the 5 years between 1999 and 2003 Florida had the highest unintentional drowning death rate of toddlers*. (This heartbreaking statistic continues). It is therefore imperative that we equip our children with the education and skills to survive an accidental 'fall in'. There
So proud of this little guy! He nailed his skills evaluation/check out.It is so important to create a scenario whereby kids may accidentally fall in, possibly fully clothed. Clothing, shoes & regular diapers alter their sense of buoyancy. It is therefore important to put them in this predicament while fully supervised to see how they navigate the situation using the skills they’ve acquired. We have to prepare them for the unexpected & of course pray that it never happens. 🙏🏻
It took a while to get to this point & a few tears along the way, but so worth it! She loves to swim & float and cannot get enough of the pool, thanks to her parent’s dedication & perseverance! 🐬🐬👏🏻👏🏻

I haven’t posted anything on here in quite a while, but God has placed it on my heart to share this with you all. It was sent to one of the instructors I trained; she teaches in the Bahamas. This little boy has special needs, and it’s been quite some time since he has had lessons, but the time invested saved his life.
Here was the message the instructor received from the Mother of the child…
“My 3 year old boy gave us quite a scare at the end of last year. We were packing to head to the airport, and a combination of his quick movement and us taking our eyes off him resulted in a near 15 minutes search for him. He managed to leave our yard (the gate was opened🤦🏽♀️). My husband went one way, I went the other way and my mother in law and housekeeper went another... we called the police and alerted our neighbours in our whatsapp group...After a few frantic minutes that felt like hours, our neighbor's housekeeper called out and said that our boy was in their pool. My husband jumped their gate and found him in the pool. He was safe and was swimming. He has never been in their pool and we have no idea how he found it. There is distance between the two houses, cars driving etc and he managed to get in their yard, over the gate and in the pool.
I'm convinced that a combination of God's protection along with the survival swimming lessons he had with you allowed him to remain safe in that pool. I've never been so thankful in my entire life. My entire family was balling in the road because we were so happy that he was safe.
I hope that you continue your lessons because they are important and can make a difference like it did in our case. Of course we're looking to get him back into swimming. He has a special interest in water and we want to ensure that we nurture that interest whilst keeping him safe”
Haven’t posted anything in some time, so thought I’d post my little grand baby practicing his skills with daddy! 👏🏼👏🏼
