It was a busy week for our group! Our teens participated in a day of service with other young people from the Diocese, helping Filling in the Blanks which feeds hungry children, as well as putting on aa carnival at Malta House for the children while their mothers got to take a break and enjoy the barbecue! The next day, many got together for a special Teen Holy Hour, followed by pizza and an ice cream bar! A special Thankyou to our Seminarian Joseph who guided the teens through a beautiful adoration complete with reflection time, a talk from Joseph and live music!

Our Assumption Youh joined teens from throughout Fairfield County for a day long service event. They helped fill 500 snack bags for Filling in the Blanks, which helps feed local children in need before heading to Malta House to entertain youngsters with a carnival while their moms relaxed and enjoyed socializing and a barbecue! Malta House cares for young single mothers and their babies! The group also attended mass and prayed together throughout the day.
A few more from our Drexel
Hill mission trip. The woman below is Mary who kindly welcomed us into her home so we could help her get things in order. We are all now life long friends.
Just a few quick pics from our trip. Been too busy to take many! Oh and out of the thousands of photos taken last year all over the country and abroad it was mine they decided to put on the big auditorium posters 🤦🏻♀️.
Some of our Assumption Youth spent time with our friends at St. Francis, Weston for fellowship and fun! Games and Giveaways was a hit. Check your emails for local summer service opportunities at Malta House and Hall Neighborhood House! and look for updates from our group traveling to the Philly area next week for Catholic Heart Work Camp!
A big Thank You to the teens and parents who baked and to our wonderfully generous parishioners ho helped make our fundraising bake sale a success. All proceeds go towards our our program outreach, including our Philly mission trip, work with Hall Neighborhood House and Malta house.
Work continues on our Assumption Youth sponsored prayer garden. We managed to get all the flowers done as we watched a huge storm cloud approach that forced us to run for cover. We also have a few new visitors to our garden this year-A family of geese with 16 babies and a piping plover( endangered, protected shore bird) nesting nearby.
