Liz Gabriel is an Egyptian American Singer Songwriter from South Texas who creates pensive, moving pop music with a classical twist.
Influences from an upbringing in the 70s combine with a steeping in gospel and a love of alternative to create a vintage eclectic sound: Judy Collins meets Tori Amos. Years spent in the contemporary worship scene rooted within her deep seeds for making music that loves and embraces the soul stirring feelings of empathy, resonance, change. Though Liz currently resides in Westport, Ct, she began her
career with late-nights of spilling heartfelt emotion into lyric and melody behind her keyboard at the top of a winding staircase somewhere along the gabled rows of Old Town Prague, Czech Republic. Her dwelling of 3 years on streets trodden by Mozart in the historic residence of a close contemporary (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josef_Mysliveček) converged in perfect timing with unique personal circumstances to trigger an outpouring of endless inspiration and creativity. After writing 40+ titles in a few months, Liz took her music to the street performing as a solo vocal/piano Artist on a busy tourist thoroughfare. In a short time she was being hired to play in local establishments; and within a year, she was entertaining corporate executives at organized global events on a grand piano in a soaring hotel lobby venue and conference center. She maintained the #1 position of singer songwriters on the Reverberation charts for the Czech Republic for several months running. Listeners say her music is:
