We just concluded another roll of classes at Wethersfield Academy. First is my master copy after Jose Tapiro Baro (1890) My students love my demo! So much amazing masterpieces were created during those 6 weeks by youth and people every age, some are beginners and some have been with me for a while and have developed quite some skills! 😊 I will be returning for more painting classes on March 6. We just completed another round of classes at the Wethersfield Academy. Here are some photos of students with their projects in Bargue/Cast drawing and Master Copy in oils. We will resume this coming week with classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. Check them out at the Wethersfield Academy for the Arts website. We also added new classes that you might be interested in. A happy note: I am thrilled that our student Svetlana was just accepted at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts Core program. It was an honor to have been part of the foundation for her acceptance at the Lyme Academy. She took almost two years of classes with us, preparing and building her portfolio. We wish her good luck for the next step in her life to become a professional artist!
Wethersfield Academy for the Arts’ 2022 Biennial Competition Art Show is now on view in the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center’s Watson Gallery in Wethersfield CT. Thirty artists were selected by Peter Trippi, Senior Editor at FINE ART CONNOISSEUR MAGAZINE to represent the concept of Realism. I am so honored to be among those amazing artists with four of my students included in the show, one of them just 17 years old. This exhibit will run through November 13 and is open to the public free of charge Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sundays 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
