We'd like to extend our gratitude to the new Kiwi freakbeat, Team Ugly; Seattle Sounders (that's an MLS joke), The Lindseys; LA Godheads (no exaggeration, man), Residual Echoes; and the final performance of the beloved, femme-punx quartet, Cool Moms-- forever deposited in our hearts and minds. Thanks to Ventura virtuosos Birdfeeder, Southeast LA wunderkind(s) Bear Flag Republic, power couple Pageants and Santa Cruz Beefcakes, Meat Market for a nutritionally-conscious layover in the beautiful Whittier. And a thank you to those of you who purchased those bio-dynamic micro-brews from the bar and the two career-oriented women who let loose-- we love you.

We put Regionalism out there without monetary compensation, but for the satisfaction of bringing music to our local audiences. Hopefully, the City of Whittier will recognize the need for an ALL AGES outlet in our community. If you have to distill us (but beware of all reductionism), we're the Counter Culture; SUBURBAN SUBVERSION-- know it, live it

A word about municipal coding,

Large activity and assembly requires a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) which is obtained by the business proprietor through the City-- this is a lengthy and costly process with no guarantee of a positive outcome. The two venues that we held our operation did not hold this discretionary permit from the City; this is why we cannot hold any concerts at these locations for the time being. You just can't do what you want without restrictive regulations.

We regret to inform you that tomorrow's (Friday, August 5th) Cum Stain Record Release Show has been cancelled due to losing the usage of our venues as cited by the City of Whittier. We tried to find another location, but were sadly unsuccessful. If you all feel like sulking and wallowing, feel free to join us at David's house (inquire within). Thanks for flying Regionalism, stay posted; and as always: stay down, stay brown
