It is with great pleasure we at NASRO announce that we have declared Feb. 15 as School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. We are encouraging schools and communities across the nation to recognize the accomplishments of their SROs that day.

Law Enforcement Appreciation Day has existed since 2015, but to our knowledge, no one has ever declared a date to specifically honor SROs nationwide. As the only national organization of SROs in the U.S., with more than 4,500 member SROs, it’s appropriate for us to establish a day for that purpose.

We chose Feb. 15 for National School Resource Officers Day because it falls during the traditional academic year and is the birthdate of Archie Hodge, the only one of our founding members who remains active in the organization. Hodge retired from law enforcement in 2006 in Jackson, Mississippi after serving as an SRO for 22 years.

I know that most of my friends proclaim to be Christians, and I love that about you, because if you are, then we are going to know each other forever. We are going to someday gather around the throne of God and praise God together for eternity! Hallelujah, I can't wait for that day! I hope that you are seeking God during this time, as I have been doing so. Not to brag, but I believe that if there is a time to call on God it is now. As I have been calling on God, I have been convicted of partaking in the world and not standing against the things that the Bible has said are sin. I have been taking time to dig down deep, and search my heart to see if there be any wicked way in me, and God is revealing those things that are, and has called me to repent. I would like to ask and beg those friends of mine to seek God in this way too. Seek God for truth, as there are lies and deception and evil that we have all seen, and pray for protection and wisdom to be able to resist the evil schemes of the enemy of God. In this time apart, I hope and pray that each one of you will draw closer to God than you have ever been in your life. May God's love remove your fear. May God's mercy and grace cover us all. Lord I repent, I have sinned, I need Your cleansing, and Your forgiveness, and Your righteousness, and Your wisdom, and Your strength now more than ever. As many of you know, there will be a joint session of Congress on January 6th to count the electoral votes with the newly sworn in U.S. Senate and House. This is the next and final step before inauguration.
I have not yet heard if our Kansas delegation plans to challenge the votes. We need Rep-elect Tracey Mann, Rep-elect Jake LaTurner, Rep Ron Estes, Senator-elect Dr. Roger Marshall, and Senator Jerry Moran to defend the integrity of our election and object to the certification of the electoral college votes from key states where widespread voter fraud and major data abnormalities have been reported. We cannot allow this election to be stolen from President Trump and we must do our part.
Please reach out to our GOP Congressmen and Senators to urge them to challenge the election results on January 6th. Our republic is on the line.
