When most entrepreneurs start a business, they usually have a "why." For Reliant Merchant Services and its owner, Ryan Selenke, that "why" is family.
About three years ago, Ryan and his wife, Jerrica, began the process of becoming a licensed foster home. At the time, Ryan was a very active real estate agent. He quickly learned that balancing both activities was challenging, so he decided to leave real estate and start a business that would offer more stability with a 9-5 schedule. This is how Reliant Merchant Services (RMS) was founded and continues to grow.
Ryan and Jerrica are committed to fostering for the foreseeable future. They have been blessed with the adoption of a little girl named Iris Rose Selenke and plan to adopt another child by the end of the year. They are also actively involved with Police Protective Custody (PPC), temporarily caring for children for 3-5 business days before they leave their home.
While life can be hectic, family remains the core motivation behind RMS. Ryan's goal is to build something larger than himself to support the local community further. Thank you to our current clients, and we hope to grow our client base even more.

Reliability is a must for a Restaurant or brick and mortar store! On Saturday night, you need your system to handle what's coming. Point of Sales are catching up to this fact and the need for it to just work. One of the ways is with what we call a "Legacy System" or on-premises system. Interchange comprises a variety of percentage-based fees and transaction charges that an Issuing Bank (the cardholder's bank) imposes on an Acquiring Bank (the merchant's bank) for processing credit card transactions. It's a common misconception that Visa and MasterCard directly benefit from interchange fees, but in reality, they levy Dues and Assessments on transactions. With hundreds of different interchange rates, it's essential to grasp that interchange represents the wholesale rate at which banks process credit card transactions among themselves. To minimize processing costs, merchants aim to align their fees as closely as possible with interchange rates.
