Saturday was the first birthday party I got to do as a nail artist!!

There’s so much I could say about 2023- mostly if you told January me this is where December me would be…she wouldn’t have believed you, but that’s how it goes isn’t it? We enter each new year with so much hope and so many plans… some work out, some don’t and some turn out better than you imagined.

I’m thankful for the blessings and that God let me see the year all the way through. I’m proud of my growth, both professional and personal. I wear the heartbreaks and failures on my sleeve, appreciating all that I learned from them.

Here’s to 2024, a year that I truly pray has more greatness in store for me and those that I love.

I gotta brag on my loves for a second…

They have been HOLDIN IT DOWN these last 2 months while I chase my dreams, work full time and somehow try to mange our home like normal.

My mini has become more independent/ self-reliant than she’s ever wanted to be and my man has beyond stepped up to fill in gaps I usually handle plus his role in our family.

They’ve dealt with me being overtired every single day, falling asleep mid convo, my mood swings being more intense and my mental space being more chaotic than it’s been in years with SO MUCH grace. I am a very “routine” person- not a fan of big change, don’t like my regular programming derailed. So having it DRASTICALLY changed has been an adjustment I haven’t made since my kid was a toddler.

Babe constantly reminds me “we got this, you’re almost done, this puts us in this position to do this, I’m not goin anywhere.” And I know it’s draining to provide that level of calm and reassurance as often as he does, I’m so thankful God sent me a patient man. I know there’s days he may think I don’t believe it, but every time I hear it- it gives me another push of energy.

Y’all are my whole heart, always. We’re halfway done.

Yesterday’s client was a super lovely Senior who was getting ready for Prom night.
She chose a gold sparkle for her manicure and a red for her pedi.. not gonna lie, highly considering that red for my own toes!
She didn’t want any length taken off yet since she recently broke two nails and wanted minimal shaping. Her pinky toe grows upward and she’s has bad experiences with other techs so she opted to only have some built up protein cleaned out from around it to not risk discomfort during Prom.

WOW! What a first service day it was… walked in with no appointments and ended my day with 5 services done, including the one on myself. 2 services not pictured, forgot to get a final picture one one service. I have thought about and dreamt of this kind of day, I am tired but SOOOO HAPPY!
