Dr. Laurie Przybysz and the Office of Marriage and Family life invite all Catholic Grandparents to the Spiritual Life Center for 2023's annual Catholic Grandparents Conference: The Grand Adventure.

Join us on July 26th, 9:00am - 1:00pm for this formational confernece where Dr. Przybysz will share share practical insights and inspiration to all those on the grandparenting journey. You will explore some of the many challenges grandparenting brings and look for the grace that lies hidden in the many opportunities grandparenting offers.

Engage with other grandparents during break times and lunch, and find spiritual retreat with the opportunity for Mass and access to the Center's many places for private prayer.

Do you believe in miracles? Join us April 27th and May 4th for a two-part series on “The Science of Miracles!” Dr. Ryan Huschka of Newman University will explore the scientific processes the Catholic Church utilizes when investigating miracles. The first evening will feature the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the second meeting will take a look at famous Eucharistic miracles. Translation into Spanish will be provided via headset. A message from our Mission & Discipleship leader, David Saunders, about our upcoming Palm Sunday Retreat! During last year's Palm Sunday Retreat, Fr. Jim McCormack MIC gave retreatants an off-the-cuff, brief exercise on meditative prayer. We here at the SLC thought it was so helpful, we asked him to return again to give Wichita a full retreat on the topic! April 8th - 10th, Fr. Jim McCormack will be guiding participants on how to make true Catholic meditation, in the style of St. Ignatius, a doable and ongoing practice in their daily lives.
