It's a great day when Newton Fire/EMS can make it for water day for the kids! The kids loved playing in the water and getting to eat popsicles at the end. Thank you coming out to us!

As a May Day surprise, a few students were brought to Kidron Bethel Village by their parents to hand out butterflies they have been making in class. They were working on giving back to others and using their voices to say “Happy May Day!”. Happy May 1st!!

Thank you to the folks at Grace Community Church who put on Big Serve! And also to our staff and their families who joined us too. Yet again, we were able to get some big projects moving. 🥰

It’s been a busy week so I wasn’t able to get as many pictures of the amazing volunteers from the week who took time out of their week to come in for Volunteer Week! Here are a few of the pictures I was able to get of the amazing volunteers from the week!! 911 Dispatch came as well as Dental Hygienist students from WSU to teeth us about brushing our teeth. Thank you for coming!!

We did not take our students out to see the eclipse due to safety, but that didn't stop the adults from sneaking a peek!

Ask your kiddo what they did to learn all about this special day. 😁 I saw lots of eclipse crafts and live feeds today!

Join us for the Art show on April 11th from 5-7pm! Come see all your kiddos' art and make more memories creating new art with them too. 🎨

Day #3 with Ms Kelli from Kansas Corn did not disappoint! It was fun to watch the kids faces when the popcorn popped! Lots of good fine motor practice to shuck the kernels off the cob as well! All the kids were very engaged with this activity!!

Day #2 with Ms Kelli from Kansas Corn was another fun day to learn about corn and the different types. The kids are coming home with field corn they shucked to feed the birds and squirrels.

As you know, Cooper is required to get volunteer hours for our HeadStart grant!

On April 21st at 10:30 AM Grace Community Church will be sending a team to work on several projects. We would like to invite all staff and families to join us. Lunch and a t-shirt will be provided for those who sign up by April 15th. Items on the agenda include grounds work such as raking and weeding, powerwashing and painting our shed, and putting together our STEM and sensory areas for students!

Day #1 of getting to learn about corn has been so much fun! brought ears of corn for the kids to shuck and bring home to feed the birds, squirrels, and other animals you see outside. They also got to make and try popcorn. More lessons the next two days!!
