We had a great time celebrating Alyssa Scott Hoffine last night at the Wichita Business Journal’s 40 under 40 celebration dinner. We are so proud of her accomplishments and are lucky to have her talent on our team - congratulations, Alyssa!

AUX Pro Softball hosted their opening day at Wilkins Stadium this week, and they'll be keeping the field warm through the end of June. The stadium renovation fundraising is ongoing, and Coach Kristi says it best, "it's a huge step in the right direction here at Wichita State." 🥎🌾

We chatted with several people about the impact she has made, and we know her legacy is one we’ll continue to see the benefits of for years to come.

As we recognize and celebrate Elizabeth King’s 33 years at Wichita State, we wanted to see how well Shocker Nation has gotten to know her over the years... As this video shows, we’ve had an absolute blast working alongside her, whether for two years or twenty. 💛

Today we're highlighting out final honoree and recipient of the 2023 Social Impact Award, Dr. Jessica Provines. Jessica has made waves on campus and across the nation with her mental health and wellness initiative, Suspenders4Hope. 🤗

Roy's acceptance speech for the 2023 Young Alumni Award made more than a few of us tear up - he reminded us all exactly what it means to wear our Shocker Pride on our sleeves, just as he did when we spoke to him for this video. 🌾 Roy Moye III was recognized with this award for his diverse portfolio of professional achievements, ranging from aerospace engineering to a musical feature on All One Tribe, a Grammy-nominated album celebrating the accomplishments of people of color.

We had the best time celebrating our alumni award winners at the Heritage Gala last week 🎉. Now, we're excited to finally share their tribute videos, starting with Dr. Alicia Thompson! Alicia was the 2023 Alumni Achievement Award recipient, recognized for her significant contributions to the Wichita Public Schools system throughout her 31-year career.

The Heritage Gala was filled with laughter, tears and all the Shocker Pride, thanks to Roy Moye III's performance of our Alma Mater! 🥹 It's safe to say we'll be singing it all weekend long 💛🖤

Golden Grad Reunion
1973: gas was 40 cents a gallon, The Carpenters ruled the radio, and more than 2,000 Shockers became graduates of Wichita State University. Last weekend we hosted those 50-year alumni with a Golden Grad Celebration, welcoming them back to campus to receive 50-year medallions and tour through the many changes WSU has seen over the years. We are so proud to have so many outstanding alumni as a part of this university's rich history!
