Be boat safe this summer and follow these tips! 🚤

1. Wear a Life Jacket: Always wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket. Kansas law requires all children 12 and under to wear one at all times on a boat.

2. Designate a Water Watcher: Have a responsible adult supervise swimmers, switching every 15 minutes to ensure constant vigilance.

3. Learn CPR: Take a CPR course for adults, infants, and children. It's often offered at local hospitals and can be life-saving.

4. No Drinking While Boating: Avoid alcohol while operating a boat to prevent accidents and legal consequences.

5. Boater Education: Ensure anyone operating the boat has completed a boater education course, required for those aged 12-20 in Kansas.
