Another strong finish to our first semester at the Living Hope location, here in beautiful, Colonial Williamsburg. Thank you, Bill Francavilla for allowing us to come into your home each week to learn this great gift God has given us. Thank you to all the parents for believing in the program, and each student for making this the most fun semester I can remember. Here is a taste of all the trouble we stirred up the last few months. Enjoy.

Wowserz! What a weekend! What a semester!! Our first semester as the HeartStrings Institute for Music can only be described as THE most thrilling in my 15+ years teaching career. Thank you, Slover Library for allowing us to share our gifts with the Norfolk community. Thank you, Music and Arts, for partnering along side us. Thank you, parents for all of your support, and students for always giving us your best. Thank You, Melissa Seaman and AJ Francisco for your professionalism, your enthusiasm, and your willingness to take that leap of faith with HeartStrings. You both truly gave HeartStrings its beating heart. Here is just a snapshot of some of this weekend's most cherished memories. Mr. Wes ❤️

Parent Observation Day!

Alice Performs Old Macdonald
I know it snuck up on us, but this week we've begun filming for our October Talent Showcase! Our first performer is Alice, one of our new additions to our musical family. She is a welcomed burst of personality, and I'm sure you'll enjoy our rendition of Old Macdonald.

Tumbalalika featuring performed by Hanna, Andrew, and Mr. Wes
I'm so proud of all the students that performed so beautifully this past weekend at the Music and Arts talent showcase. I'm so excited about this Fall and can't wait for our next program coming up in December!!

Annabelle on the drums - July 2016
So sad to see 'lil Ms. Annabelle go after 2 wonderful years. Best wishes to her and her family on the road ahead! For our last class, I got her to try rockin' out on some drums for the very first time. Fun times were had by all!
