Here's a beautiful 16" x 9" cheese board made of Maple and Walnut.

It's a little too thin for a cutting board (just under 1/2" thick) but it would make a great cheese board or serving tray.

It's been finely sanded, edges rounded, and coated with a food grade oil.

Just as a reminder - these aren't store-bought. I buy the lumber, cut to length, rip it on my table saw, glue/clamp, plane, sand, round the edges and coat with a food grade oil. The only thing I don't do is cut the tree down and run it through a sawmill. I don't have the means for that, but I'd be lying if the thought hasn't crossed my mind.

Assembled with waterproof glue, nails, construction screws for the frame and top and 3/8" bolts on the legs.
