What's been happening since we closed our doors to intake.

SADLY WE ARE STILL CLOSED AND IT IS LOOKING LIKE WE WILL BE FOR A WHILE OR IF WE CAN EVEN REOPEN AT ALL!!! ITS BREAKING OUR HEARTS!!😿😿😿😿😿😿

We have had an abundance of calls and emails for people needing help that haven't had luck anywhere. We have directed these people to other rescues, spca and even told them we can assist them in learning tnvr however we are not able to do much more. They were very kind and sad about it all.

We've ordered Gabriel's final stretch of meds. Thank you everyone.

Flopsy is still in observation of fip! Half way through.

We had a nice food donation for the feral colonies. That food will last approx 1.5 to 2 months. We still need dry food for them.

We had a nice yard sale and basket raffle that the weather wasn't cooperative. We made $600 and left overs are being donated to other rescues who will be picking up to hopefully raise funds for themselves. We aimed for a better monetary outcome. We are grateful for what we did raise.
That leaves our bank account just under 1k to help where we can. This WILL not last long as we need to order or medications for the kitties

Bottle returns from April 20th event was $87.00 will be turning aluminum in soon.

We are planning a few more events to help us raise funds to stay afloat and hopefully reopen at some point. Sadly that's looking very very bleak. We do not have the funds to do soband it's truly breaking our hearts.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are extremely excited for our summer vending event season! We will be posting our entire season of events on our social pages and website this coming week.

We start Lilac Festival on May 10th and then it's on the road from there!

BIG CHANGES TO NOTE (Effective Immediately May 1st)

With the event season upon us, and a new construction project we are under taking at our restaurant to create the full restaurant experience we desire; we are making the decision to focus on our summer vending business right now, and re-open the restaurant aspect of our store after our construction phase is completed. There is no time frame on this right now, as there will be several phases that need to be completed to finalize our plans.

We will be open for catering tastings- by appointment only, and for pre-order product pick ups. We will be adjusting our website and Google as well to reflect this, so there is no confusion during this transition phase.

New equipment is coming in as soon as tomorrow. So we are excited to break ground on the next phase of our building.

If anyone has ever literally built a restaurant from the bottom up- with their own money, and not much of a blueprint, they will tell you what we have come to know; this is a grueling process. But also a process and passion of love. And one we're not willing to cut corners on just to 'get it done'. We want it done right and the way we envision it. We wish it were simpler, faster, and could have been done in one fell swoop. But we are truly in a transition phase from start up into each next phase as we keep the wheels moving in other areas like our events, catering, and retail products.

We will be open Monday and Tuesday this week for dine-in and take out as normal from 11-3pm. Please feel free to call ahead to double check your items you'd like to order, we should have most everything on our menu these next 2 days.

We will be posting updates as each phase is complete and we get closer to a true grand re-opening later on this year.

⌚️📅NEW HOURS ARE IN EFFECT AS WELL - All websites and social media presence will be updated accordingly. We have decided to focus on the lunch crowd and during the fall and winter season we will consider a dinner crowd as well.

For now you can enjoy our food at our restaurant Mondays - Fridays from 11am - 3pm. We are closed Saturday and Sundays as we head into our very busy event season.

We are open for catering pick ups accordingly, and for wedding tastings after hours and on off-days.

NASA will end its public events for this 2024 total eclipse at Old Fort Niagara (the only NASA event below the Falls in northern Niagara County). Can you imagine a more historic place in Western New York and Southern Ontario to experience this total eclipse?

You'll be able to experience nature and its effects at the Fort and the view (if weather permits) across the lake of Toronto during the eclipse, only 32 nautical miles from our southern shores. Even without our 2 planned special events inside the admission are of the Fort and with NASA at our historic Officer's Club outside the admission area. NASA's presentation is FREE and to the public like the rest of Fort Niagara State Park.

Through our event partners, we've also planned 3 of our region's wonderful restaurants from WNY to be stationed by Fort Niagara Beach.

If you are planning or want to plan to attend Niagara's best Eclipse viewing experience, you should check out all the latest information at the link below. Especially related to parking and access to Fort Niagara State Park where we are located in historic Youngstown, NY .

NASA Heliophysics Science Division (study of our sun and its connection to our solar system and the rest of the universe will be the subject matter of their presentations at both 10 am and noon.

Hopefully, you'll be fortunate enough to be in the area to experience the 2024 Total Eclipse here in Niagara's most historic treasure, Old Fort Niagara. It's where our early nation's stories are told, as well as Native, French, and British stories.

I’m Slim, and as I approach my 10th birthday I feel a heavy ache in my heart. I have been a resident at the shelter for a few months now. I’ve never had a home, even though I have wished for one over, and over, and over again.
