2018 National Championships - Georgia Aquarium

Today is the day!!!

The 1st annual Collegiate Club Swimming & Diving National Championships officially starts TODAY! We are so excited to welcome everyone to Atlanta for a fun weekend of competition! Here is all your need-to-know information for this weekend.

All of the important meet information, including the live stream of the meet and the live results page, can be found here: http://swimclub.gtorg.gatech.edu/nationals

Spectator passes will be available for purchase at the meet entrance and are $8/day or $20 for the whole weekend. Heat sheets for the whole weekend will also be sold at the entrance for $10. Parking at the facility lot is $15 on-site or $12 online (https://gatech.clickandpark.com/). Heat sheets and on-site parking will be cash only.

Be sure to check out our amazing meet vendors, including Eagle Sportz for apparel, Capital Swim for swim gear and custom meet items, and Jolyn Swimwear, in the main hallway of the meet. Also, don't forget about the NEW photography option being offered this year through River Oak Photography. Check out their table in the main hallway to sign up for stunning action photos of your races.

Stop by the Swim Across America table in the main hallway today to enter the raffle to win one of 4 pairs of tickets to the Georgia Aquarium. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20.

With just 5 DAYS until Nationals, we are excited to announce a NEW photography option for swimmers! Advance sign-ups for photos are now open! Reserve your events now with River Oak Photography for stunning action photos of your races: riveroakphotography.com/2018-ccs-nats/

River Oak Photography works on a reservation basis, so you must sign up if you want photos of your swims. Advance registration will be available through 12pm on Friday April 6. Email [email protected] with questions. Remember, there will still be a general photographer, but with River Oak you're guaranteed to get some stellar pictures of your swims!

Job Opportunity!

My name is Lane Cox and I am a manager/recruiter for Beach Services Ltd., an ocean front beach service based out of the Myrtle Beach area (Surfside Beach and Garden City, South Carolina). Our company is currently seeking to hire ocean rescue lifeguards for the upcoming summer season. Beach Services Ltd wants to hire young, athletic, motivated individuals who enjoy working with people and are determined to succeed. We take pride in our sound reputation not only in water safety, but also in our impeccable service to patrons on the beach for almost 50 years.

Let me first share the requirements for the position, and then I will share about how great of an experience this is. The only prerequisite our company requires is being able to swim 500 meters in under 10 minutes. We have staff that is ready and able to give the necessary training and certifications in water safety and CPR upon your arrival; nonetheless, pre-existing Red Cross certification recipients are always encouraged to help expedite the process. The daily duties performed as a lifeguard working for our company are as followed:
• Providing water safety services • Setting up beach equipment• Renting beach equipment to customers ❖ Lifeguards make commission on rental equipment

This experience is one I highly encourage for you and teammates to take advantage of while you still can. Not only is this great opportunity to spend an entire summer getting paid at the beach, but also a great opportunity to open yourself to new cultures. Many of our lifeguards are college students like you from all over the world. This is an unique chance to make international connections and friends for anything from business opportunities to travel destinations.
