Terry “Gabby” Bertelsen has been working for Engel Trucking for 20 years. He is dedicated to his job and makes many contributions to the company.
While working for Engel Trucking, he has driver many different trucks and pulled several different types of trailers. When asked about what he hauls he mentioned feed, grain, liquid feed, bales, livestock.

When mentioning livestock, he made it apparent that it was not his favorite to haul, but he still does it for the company anyways because that’s the type of employee he is. Bertelsen said that his favorite thing to haul would have to be feed.

He plans to stay working at Engel Trucking until he is retired and mentioned why he chose to work there. “I was a truck driver all my life and I thought it would be a good place to go work,” said Bertelsen.

He began working for them in 2003 and has been dedicated to doing his job ever since. Bertelsen, according to Engel Trucking, is a safe and dependable driver who has covered a lot of ground over the years.

The driving conditions may not always be the best, but he is still willing to get the job done. He genuinely cares for and about the customers and company’s needs which is noticed by all.

He has the nickname “Gabby” which he goes by most of the time, which he says Vern Bertram gave to him “a long time ago.” One customer calls him “The Legend”, and Bertelsen wears a hat with both nicknames on it.

Bertelsen enjoys participating in the Special Olympics Truck Convoy, he enjoys seeing all the people. The company always receives great comments from the people he sees including the kids.

During the Christmas season it is possible that you may see a co-pilot wearing a red and white suit riding with him. “Gabby” can always be relied on to get the job done and is always willing to go the extra mile to get it done.
