New inventory update! We are fully restocked 😏
Frosty ferns in slo mo 😌 Fern facts: 💦 never let soil dry out ☀️ bright, indirect sunlight (direct sunlight will cause them to burn and wilt) 🌫 misting is encouraged once or twice a week 🪴 use a pot that maintains moisture 🪨 try using a pebble tray underneath the pot to maintain humidity
Rain or shine! Come join us tomorrow at the @winterhavenfarmersmarket. Can’t wait to see all of you! 💚
I’m bringing some beautiful plants to Carols in the Park this weekend! If you can’t make it out, stand by…I am in the process of updating my Etsy shop with all new inventory 💚 **Side note** Do you think I should do local plant drops? DM me if you would like to purchase a plant without having to move from your couch (in Winter Haven, FL). I would bring it to your door 🪴
Let’s talk soil! Do you make your own? It’s cheaper to make your own, and you can customize the mixture for each of your plants. I’ve been using equal parts orchid bark mix, horticultural charcoal, coco coir, and Fox Farm potting soil. This mixture allows for optimal drainage! Here’s a list of things you can include in your homemade medium: •Potting soil- provides nutrients •Coco coir- great alternative to peat moss (more costly than peat), highly effective at retaining moisture •Perlite- improves drainage •Vermiculite- improves drainage •Orchid bark- increases pore size for air and water to move through mixture more freely •Peat moss- retains moisture (slightly acidic)* •Limestone- balances pH and decreases acidity •Horticultural charcoal- improves drainage, balances pH, prolongs life of soil *add limestone to reduce acidity if using peat moss
Look at the color on this Pothos! She’s a beauty 😍 Did you know: •Pothos can grow leaves up to 20” in its natural habitat •You can let a Pothos trail from a hanging pot, use it as ground cover, or even let it climb on a moss pole •Pothos can help with eye irritation from staring at screens for an extended period of time 🪴🪴🪴 I will have golden Pothos at the Farmer’s market on September 25th!
This big guy is the black swallowtail caterpillar. He is chowing down on some parsley, which is the host plant for these caterpillars (also dill, fennel, carrots, or rue)! Stick around for a cool metamorphosis 🐛🦋 #blackswallowtailcaterpillar #blackswallowtail #parsley #butterflies #caterpillars
