As you can see no drywall on the ceiling in the living room/kitchen/dining area as that will be a wood ceiling. Looking forward to getting that up and seeing it all come together.

The front door came in and we made quick work of getting it installed so we can put some heat to this place for the drywallers.

The electrical service was also installed today and set for inspection tomorrow.

We've got a floor!

Next up basement bearing walls and sill plate so we can then set the floor deck.

We are doing the vast majority of this ourselves while still juggling those pesky full time jobs so we won't set any speed records but we'll keep rolling along!

Backfilled for the most part, we do have to wait on the well guy to tie us back in before we can finish, but we're still making progress

Although at this point the sun had set and we were working by the lights of the machine and I think he may have been thinking it was time for dinner!

Doesn't it look inviting, how could you not take a walk in the woods!

Last mow of the season!

Forms are up and walls should get poured tomorrow!!

Before you know it we're going to have somethin that looks like somethin!

A new back door had to go in today at White Pine Retreat, oddly enough due to a wiring issue.

Just gotta love log homes!

The good news is it allowed us to put in a half glass door adding more light to the inside of the cabin.

Now we've just got to pick a color for the door. Any suggestions?

Private Hiking Trail at the White Pine Retreat

A little spring cleanup day at White Pine Retreat today. First mow of the year, seeded the new picnic area and the hiking trail as well as did some work on the driveway!

It was a beautiful day and hopefully we made the White Pine Retreat a little more enjoyable for our guests!!!
