Calling all Fairies, gnomes, wizards and magical beings!
Demonstrate your creativity by donning your own fairy costume. Costume contest will take place at 6:30pm in Jordan Court and will be judged by the new Red Wing Royal Ambassadors.

No need to register, just gather in the courtyard at 6:15 pm

All ages are welcome! Prizes will be awarded based on creativity in the following age groups:

0-5 years old
6-12 years old
13-19 year old
20-110 years old

Showcase your magical fairy garden creations!
Get creative and build your very own Fairy House.

Fairy gardens will be displayed in the windows of Tootsie Too’s from Friday, August 16 through Friday, August 23.

Winners will be announced at 5:30pm in Jordan Court during the Fairy Fest.

All fairy gardens must be delivered to Tootsie Too’s between 10am and 3pm on Friday, August 16 and picked up no later than 4pm on Friday, August 23

Fairy gardens must not exceed 10 pounds

we wanted to focus on thickness and adding weight to her ends , so I chose to add in wavy k tips to create the illusion of thicker hair , while still only adding what her natural hair can hold.

I love this for her 🤌🏼

x went through and matched + mimicked her natural greying pattern with blondor 9+ with 10vol.
x everything left out was toned using 6.2 + 5.3 + 10vol (to match to her natural brunette)
x rooted & toned at the bowl using Color Touch 5/1 + 6/0 to root 10/81 + 9/16 all over
x gave her a softer lighter haircut + finished with a blowout and a 1.25” curling iron

P S A !! if you have unexplained breakage, specifically on one side or in one spot… check your bags! Your straps can be rubbing on one section of your hair repeatedly & over time it can lead to breaking it off. Similar to how wearing your hair in the same tight pony/bun everyday can cause a band of breakage. I see this most from cross body bags, which are more popular in the summer + we don’t have our coats/jackets in between our bags and hair, so I have been noticing this on a few of my clients lately! (Swipe to see an example- literally saw the breakage and said “put your bag on for me” so she could see it)
Here’s how to fix it:
1-obviously the bag is the issue, so either switch your bag up, or switch what side you wear it on. Also being more aware of your hair when putting them on and taking them off.
2-if the damage is done… get a trim- this can be sad, but those ends won’t get any thicker and it will help prevent further breakage. Using a product like mending infusion can help seal those split ends and prevent future breakage.
3- wear your hair up when you’re out and about/shopping/taking your bag on and off frequently.

Hey guys 👋🏼 Haven’t done a post like this in a while, I’m Alexa aka Bleach Bomb Hair.
Heres a few things you might not know about me :

-I grew up here in Red Wing, MN (I used to HATE it here, and 16 year old me would be shocked and upset that I now love it lol)

-I have the cutest sweetest best dog ever, Pepper. He’s half blue heeler & half pit

-I’ve been doing hair a bit over 6 years now, I never thought I would do hair and actually went into beauty school planning to do makeup + aesthetics

-I’m a caffeine girlie. I love an iced vanilla latte, Diet Coke, Alani, or really any sweet drink (try to drink enough water too though)

-I’ve loved getting more into the gym and have been putting a lot of effort into taking care of my body in the last few years :)

-I have the best boyfriend in the world (literally favorite person ever)

-I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts (I blame this obsession on the fact that I started watching CSI, SVU, etc with my parents when I was like 7)

-I’m super into astrology (bring your birth chart in to your appointment so we can chat about it 🤌🏼)

-I have 1 sister, Karna, who also lives here in Red Wing. She’s a florist (brides- she’s your girl) who has been making some major career moves lately- so proud of her 🌸

-Current obsession outside of work is Love Island (uk) & Bridgerton
